Raiders trade the #1 pick and Maxx Crosby to the Ravens for Lamar Jackson.   Ravens are on the clock!

Who do they select?    Each team will have 1 day for the board to decide on their selection.    New York Jets will be on the clock on 3/18.

Safest pick in the draft… Mendoza line

Reuben Bain

I'm assuming this is a no-trade mock, right?

We can do trades if you want but it's still going to be most votes for something wins and everyone would have to agree on the same trade including compensation.

I was going to argue against including trades. Too many working parts, not as clean for a mock that includes multiple people's votes.

That's why I limited it to full agreement on all specifics. If we get even 3 votes for Reese or Bain, it's highly unlikely someone wanting a trade will get enough agreement to win.

But then again if everyone on the board thinks the Jets for example are going to trade w/ the Titans and draft P Brett Thorson from Georgia (yeah i had to look up a punter) @ 2 then fine.. i'll put it down lol

I’ll say Reese over Bain

What is the Jets defense? Do they prefer edge rushers who are more OLB type rushers or do they employ more of the 3-4 DE type rushers?

They are switching to a 3-4 (which is why they wanted Sweat at NT), but I don’t know the schematic specifics beyond that.

Reese fits right in as a 3-4 OLB or even ILB.

Bain would theoretically be able to fit as a 3-4 DE but not without bulking up significantly and that would take time. Could he be a 3-4 OLB? I have my doubts and I certainly don’t think they would use the #2 pick on him without confidence in that.

He could be a good strong side OLB that moves inside on passing downs.

But i haven't heard much at all of people saying they're interested in him though.

Titans send their No. 4 overall pick, along with picks No. 35 and No. 101, to the New York Jets in exchange for the No. 2 selection, which they use on Love.

Congrats.  You’ve picked the option that almost everyone will hate .
