It’s not that far off as a comp.  Young qb with a new coach and offensive coordinator plus money to spend in FA on the roster (or draft picks).  I don’t know if I’d go as far as the Championship game but I wouldn’t be shocked if we made the playoffs next year.

Yeah, just getting to the playoffs after being stuck in the mire of this year would be a major accomplishment. I don't even expect us to be in the playoffs, but an 8 or 9 win season and barely missing out would be a massive improvement. I suspect it's very much within the realm of possibilities.

The NFC Championship Game had the two best teams in the NFL.

Love it. This game wasnt nearly as close as the score. The Pats were embarrassed. Fuck them and fuck the Vrabel stans.

I can't help but think as the SB winds down   Trump is a pedofile

Here's a stat I heard this morning.  The Seahawks didn't have a single turnover the entire post season.

They also didn't turn it over against the 49ers in that last game of the season which was basically a playoff game.

How was week 18 a "playoff" game for them? They had 14wins, the rams had 12 who won week 18 and the next best nfc team had 11.

Unless google is lying to me.

If SF had won the final week, both them and SEA would have been 13-4 and SF would have won the tiebreaker.  Whoever won the week 18 game would win the division and 1 seed. The loser got the wild card

One of the best ever is a stretch. The defense was lights out against a second year QB who didn’t really have much tests throughout the year, then had meh stats in the post season.

It feels like cope for the Pats losing and being fools gold.

It's stats based on the full year (DVOA, point differential, etc) but you do you.

I found it interesting they went for it on 4th down less than any other team.

That's interesting, yeah. Could just be the luxury of a good defense/team allowing no need to take risks (even calculated ones) but you could easily make the argument that they can better offset the risk with that defense and so they should go for it even more.

Of course it is. Poor Vrabel, he had to deal with facing one of the greatest teams of all time!

Statistically, maybe. But stats are only as good as the era they come from. This Seahawks team would probably have been blanked by the 2000 Ravens, any of the 90s Cowboys teams of the 90s, the 80s 49er teams, the Brady Patriots teams, and probably most of the Chiefs teams of the last 8 years too.

But who knows? It's all speculation and projection.
