They are betting on him being healthy in 2027. 2026 he will probably struggle. But it’s an expensive wait.

The fibula isn't a big deal, but an achilles? LOL on that waiting. The stats for linemen (I remember from Cush discussions) is 30% will return to at or better form. Daniel Jones wasn't worth $50M before the injury.

On top of this, he has a recent ACL and neck injury. Ballard is an idiot.

I get what you are saying.  However, most think the medicals were in line with "what most expected".

GM's around the league have been quoted that it is pretty much bullshit.

And, the Ravens didn't come out and say it was a failed physical and the Raiders said it was that the Ravens pulled out of the deal, not that Crosby failed a physical.

I personally dislike both teams, so I don't have a dog in the fight.  But, this does appear to erode the trust of the process.

An example that was brought up on a KC Sports Talk Radio station by a national reporter was when the Chiefs and Eagles traded in the 2025 draft.  The Chiefs just asked the Eagles offense or defense.  The Eagles said defense, the Chiefs traded.  But, what if the Eagles knew the Chiefs wanted Simmons and traded ahead to select him.

There is a certain honor among GM's that you won't be completely transparent, but you won't lie in the process of a trade.  And, you won't back out of a trade without something unforeseen being discovered on the physical.

And, I believe that the medical records for Crosby were shared (at Crosby's permission) with the Ravens prior to the final trade negotiation.

So, this certainly feels dirty.  It will be interesting to see if there are any other ramifications moving forward.

Either something was undisclosed or unknown, or it's dirty. I wonder if a key decision maker such as an owner got cold feet or wasn't fully apprised of the medicals when the trade was made. So when they found out about the surgery, they were like wtf?!

Interesting thing I learned also. Dan Cooper (Cowboys Doc) was present for these physicals with Maxx. Did he poison the well for Jerry Jones to swoop in for a discount???

Up to $100M for 2 years. He will make $50M this year coming off those injuries.

Fucking awesome for the Titans. Big yikes for Colts fans.

Ill never forget how much colts fans were bitching about signing him and then how they acted like the world was going to end when he was named the starter.

When you other choice is AR it was so obvious it was painful.

No, that would be a violation of HIPAA laws.

Whatever he found/consults he did for BAL can’t be shared w/Dallas even if he is their doc

D. Jones cap number for 2026 drops to 14.7M.  But Ballard had to add 3 void years (2028-30) to the contract to make it work.

Colts now have 54M in cap space but that doesn't include any money for Pierce, Key or Clemons.

Are you autistic? Just because it's against the rules doesn't make it impossible. I'm speculating that maybe he did. He also could've went there with intentions on ruining the deal without violating privacy.

He’s a doctor.  He wouldn’t be risking his reputation.

Cmon

funny how everyone was like "Byard was awesome for the Bears last year and was back to being an all pro"... and yet he leaves for a 1 year deal with Vrabel. ask yourselves why?

Ah yes the ol lose your medical license and risk being sued out your ass trick so Jones can get a player to get him to the wildcard round
