Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

Washington looks good in highlights but bad the rest of the time.

him jumping up to the second RB is really not logical. Al Davis is dead.

Adam Randall at least is a decent player and used to play WR ...if you are going by RAS freaks.

But really there's 6-7 guys that should go before both of them.

I'm not going to bother arguing the merits of Washington. Don't like him? OK. There's also Price and Johnson.

The bottomline is people are dismissing them out of hand because they refuse to see anyone outside of Love as options. Just a bunch of Justin Gravers in here lately. Do better, ya'll.

Can any of those guys take it to the house at any moment or just decent RBs?

Where the heck did you see josh Reynolds or terrence williams?

Iv seen, Higgins, AJ Green, Pickens, Ridley, jimmy Smith, Olave and quite a few more. I haven't seen anyone give him less than a highend 2 comp and thats out of like 20 I have watched/read.

I still cant think of a good comp because he is a very unique player.

Tall but slim with average arms but a big wing span with huge hands. Plays well above high weight class but isn't a bully.

More a tactician than a burner but is a serious down the field threat. Runs a whole route tree with veteran savy.

Excellent body control as well instincts/nuance when running routes and while the ball is in the air but gets indecisive with the ball in his hands.

Effortless running routes, seldom loosing any speed as he breaks, same sudden movement he uses to run routes or attack the ball is absent when he turns up field after the catch.

Good blocker in both technique and willingness, lack of size only thing holding him back from being great.

And as always, catches everything he touches.

Most prospects don't have those kinds of contradictions. He really doesn't fit in any of the normal archetypes.

some are purely athletic comparisons. some are total player/draft history comparisons. The point is that the pool of comparisons is overall significantly lower than that of Love's.

I'm not dismissing him. I dont think most are. I do think they are dismissing him in the 2nd/3rd when he likely was an UDFA based on tape and after the combine started getting rated as the #3 (now some have him as the #2 RB)

When he was a 5th round flyer or later.. yeah try that freak all day.

I'd much rather have coleman, johnson, singleton... if I want a do-it-all back in the 3rd or 4th round.

Adam Randall and Washington after that. You still have to have proved something in college for a RB for me.

Bleacher Report.

COMPARABLE GRADE: Quentin Johnston (8.4 in 2023), Jaxson Smith-Njigba (8.3 in 2023), Jameson Williams (8.4 in 2022)

OVERALL RANK: 11

POSITION RANK: WR2

PRO COMPARISON: DeVonta Smith

Draftbuzz:

He reminds me more of Chris Olave's profile than Garrett Wilson's coming out of Columbus. That is not an insult. That is a very good football player with a long career ahead of him.

Yahoo is the only one that compares him to Williams and Reynolds. Like you said they also do that purely on a size and speed basis, it is not a player comp which makes it relatively useless.
