Titans Get The #4 Pick In The Draft

Yeah, there was a lot of talk about it this draft that almost all the dudes were wearing these shoes that load up on energy  on the squat and were adding several inches to the guys verticals. Its been creeping in for a couple years but this year was like almost everyone.

You used to wait every 6-7 years to see a 40" vertical. I think there has been close to 25 this class.

Yeah, that would make me discount every jump. I never heard of that.

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

lol

Love is at least an elite pass catcher and 3 down RB.    I'm torn.    He'd be the best RB by a mile since Earl   Plus I'm already itching to turn on him

TBH i had head that on reddit and there appears to be some merit and talk about it but I haven't dove deep on the shoes themselves. From  what I read they seem to call out carbon plated, high stack running shoes and Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL) tech that was banned in the NBA a while back.

But also.. A huge reason why the RAS scores are so high is that so few people did the 3 cone or the shuttle. So coming up with an RAS based on like 2 jumps and a 40 is unfinished info and an RAS from that is heavily flawed.

It also makes sense if you knock like 3" off everyones jumps this year that they are much more in-line with recent years.

i think RAS scores are going to lose some credibility from actual scouts.. or scouts will have to start doing their own official ones.

These shoes have made players jump several inches more than any other year and Proday 40 times are almost always .1-.15 faster than the combine.

They should be adjusted for reality.

You change that and the kid doesnt make this list. Not that he cant/wont be great... its just that these OMG factoid tweets are all so far off the truth they are selling

The gap analysis has been around for over a generation — looking at the game tape production — and eloquently summed up by og draft nerd Joel Buschbaum: Looks like Tarzan, Plays like Jane

Alternatively, this is by far the most athletic draft of all time but somehow also just a not very good draft. Somethings not adding up.

Prospects are prepared to present themselves in the best way possible. So much of that is sitting out of drills, exercises, or tests that you are not able to consistently hit preferred marks in. So what you get is an inflated market of premium numbers because the aggregates never punish you for not participating.

Well the Cardinals now have a warm body to hold down that RT position.

Was it for 20mil like that full offseason mock thing everyone was playing with said he would get?

Today Dane Brugler said if he did another mock draft right now the top 5 wouldn't change from the one he did on the final day of the combine.

As a refresher this was the top 5 in Brugler's last mock draft.

1. Raiders - Fernando Mendoza

2. New York Jets - Arvell Reese

3. Arizona Cardinals - Francis Mauigoa

4. Tennessee Titans - Jeremiyah Love

5. New York Giants - Sonny Styles

Robert Mays raised an interesting point on the Athletic Football Show today regards the Super Bowl winning Seahawks pass rush rotation, 3 members of that rotation Boye Mafe, Uchenna Nwosu, Derick Hall were all 2nd round picks.

If Borgonzi doesn't go EDGE round 1 he has the opportunity at the top of the 2nd to take an EDGE and continue building a pass rushing rotation in a mirror image of the current Super Bowl Champions. With Oladejo + say a Zion Young, Malachi Lawrence or Gabe Jacas to compliment the interior of Simmons and Franklin-Myers.

Is the Miami OTackle worthy of #3? I saw that AZ might be leaning towards an edge player even more so with the trade request from Josh Sweat? Im trying to get an understanding of how likely AZ is to trade out.
