Me? While I think Rodriguez might be a slightly better prospect, who helps the defense (and Cam) more? I think having the law offices of Taylor, Flott, & Scott out there challenging Cam every practice may actually be a bigger boost. Iron sharpening iron and all that. I forget who I was listening to, I think it was the guys on Check the Mic or maybe Nate Tice, but they said something interesting. Basically that CBs have the shortest peak of any position. 1-2 years. The top tier of CBs also rotates more than any other spot. So an appropriate goal for the position is to just bring in guys that you know can play and start in the NFL, are healthy, and arent past their physical primes. There's also plenty on the market every year that you can pay, but its worth the premium at the spot. Its super hard to project CBs, the hitrate isnt great, and leg injuries - even small ones - often completely derail careers. SO.. I'd go Rodriguez. Its more of an immediate need anyhow. I do miss the pac man and rolle days with playmaking CBs but even Pac was known to blow coverages. Getting a guy that completely erases a WR is near impossible and incredibly short lived. Raise the floor and impact the area in front of and around the QBs first. Edited April 12 by titanruss Callidus, and NashvilleNinja

Scott is also going to be a 25 year old rookie. titanruss

I didnt use players from last year out of fairness. again so? you can add or delete all the pure ht weight 40 guys you want. When you do actual stat and player comparisons... you are looking at top of the league and all-time guys across the board for love and like 1-3 really good players among a seas of solid for Tate. You know thats the point so not sure why you are sticking with this route.

Question is with the vacant RG spot and the 30 visit with Bisontis the multiple sit downs with Rutledge is Borgonzi positioning himself to find the long term fix there rather than patching it for another year with a veteran. I don't get the sense we're as locked into a position in round 2 as we were last year when it seemed like it was going to be EDGE. It might just come down to BPA at a need spot. Maybe they'll take one of the G if they are there. Or the LB. Or if one of the WR slips. I think Borg is keeping it open. titanskick8851, titanruss, and NashvilleNinja

First thing is waiting and seeing who slips to pick #35 every year there are a couple of players that slip into the early 2nd round that aren't expected to make it out of the first round. Only one small pushback is that Scott wouldn't really be an outside receiver as he'd probably be seen as a NB, shutdown down the slot area or maybe doubling as the 3rd safety. I don't think we'd envision him as an outside corner. But it would be very hard for me to say no to Rodriguez. He's probably my favorite defender for us to target in the 2nd round if he's gets there. But Scott has been a topic lately as a nickel we could plug in. titanruss

As they should. The best edge or OT should go after QB worthy picks. So happy we beat the Chiefs… Forgot to post above, so if Bailey and Reese go two and three take Tate at 4 if can’t trade back. Take Rodriguez in two, G in 3 and edge in 4. I figure Borg is going to trade back at least once on day 1 or 2.

Didn't think we would get the guy from kc for more than a year or 2 but didn't see the total implosion coming.
tgo
Kind of have a feeling that the Titans are the team he’s talking about with this regime (rightfully) being hyper-focused on character. Not to even mention personnel/scheme Justafan
