Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

Reese is a late 1st round pick.  Nolan Smith was 2 inches shorter and 3 pounds lighter, but with slightly longer arms and more athleticism.  Exactly what is the justification for him being the #30 pick and Reese going in the Top 5?

Don't forget Nolan Smith suffered a ruptured pec in his final season at Georgia.

Also from memory there were concerns about shoulder issues during that pre-draft process.

It was about where he was projected to go, though.  I don't recall him ever being referred to as a top 10 caliber talent who fell due to injury concerns (like Jordyn Tyson is predicted to)

He was discussed as a potential top 15 prospect based on talent but went later than that due to the injury concerns.

The same thing happened 2yrs later with Jihaad Campbell a top 15 talent that went end of first round due to injury concerns.

I could buy Reese as a Top 15 pick.  I just said late first because I was salty.  Still, if you're drafting someone at #4 for a position he didn't play full-time and wasn't particularly great at or have an ideal frame for, it seems like you're doing a huge disservice to yourself.  Those players should have both production and physical traits of a potential star player, and he doesn't really have either.

Tate is ridiculously bad after the catch.  Not exactly a red flag but interesting.

I wouldn't say he is "ridiculously bad". It certainly isn't a strong suit but I think he can fix it. It looks like he is over thinking things once he has the ball.

He also ran a ton of comebacks, sideline routes and had deep shots underthrown. All of those are plays that don't lend themselves to rac.

It's vs. expected though... Meaning their actually production is compared to whatever YAC and missed tackles a WR would be expected to create (however that is calculated).  There are some really good WRs around him, and some really bad ones in the top right quadrant so it's not all that meaningful.

I said he needs to work on it. He was solid on screens but whenever he got a short crossers he would absolutely fail. He could have turned some of the comebacks into extra yards but he doesn't turn upfield really quick like he does running routes for whatever reason on those catches. The few deep shots he didnt score a td on and wasn't tackled immediately he could have done better on as well.

I wasn't trying to just explain it away, i was agreeing just adding some context. It was one of the few things I said he wasn't good at from the start.

Positives for Reese is he's explosive, strong at the point of attack either taking on blocks or tackling and he's a terror going down field. He can blitz from the LB spot and cover some. I do think Saleh would just let him pin his ears back and rush the passer, he does have 4.4 speed

I see him as Tee Higgins. I don't like the AJ Green comp that gets thrown around. AJ Green was the #1 WR prospect coming out of HS and was pretty much seen as elite since HS. That's not Tate.

Carnell Tate was very highly regarded out of high school. I was very disappointed when he chose Ohio State over Tennessee. What are you talking about? He was considered by some the best at his position or at least top 5 WR in the nation  out of high school.

As long as he's not expected to run down speed demon Arch Manning, he should be fine.
