I'm going to think of it as "it's only the Pro Bowl" and no one has taken it seriously in decades. Likewise, this will be a reliable media talking point. So, the NFL "wins" with more coverage on an event that they want to boost and with Sanders there, people may tune in due to all the media coverage. It was only popular for years because most people liked the free trip to Hawaii. After that it’s basically on par (or less) than a preseason game or worse.
