titanruss
Tannehill will never be remembered anywhere as a good QB. He'll be remembered as a guy that had a good season and a half and then choked every playoff appearance away. He's still not even retired and thinks someone will want him but he's gotten zero callers since we kicked him to the curb. The league has told us multiple times wha they think of the guy. Outside of Tennessee he wont even be remembered at all unless someone randomly brings up how insane his efficiencyn was to compare some other qb to durring one of those 10second filler spots durring games. Still doesn't take away how good he was while healthy with a respectable line here. He didnt even slow down without henry. Shiting on tanny will never get old. Why dont people insit on trashing the best qb we have had in 20 years? Because it ended poorly?
Jamalisms
There are far more people (here and almost exclusively here) who can't accept that Tannehill was merely a mediocre quarterback who had a short period of elite efficiency when surrounded by a high-end roster and then came crashing back down to earth super swiftly and fucked his team in the playoffs ... than who refuse to acknowledge how well and how efficiently he played for a short period of time. The Tennessee Titans have such an extreme absence of quality quarterback play over the past 25 years that Tannehill's tenure is probably the second best Titans tenure over that period. Good for him, bad for the franchise. oldschool, and Hyperion 1

He did well but he certainly didn't look anything like he did in 2020 and 2019. I agree with the premise though. He was the QB for 4 seasons, 3 great ones, and was dominant for 2 of them with the other leading us to the 1 seed behind one of the most injured teams in history. Should have said fall off, not slow down. IsntLifeFunny

The running game was about the same without Henry But more importantly they started 5 different LTs and Brown and Julio barely played together, AJ Brown missed half the snaps for the year

Not having him on the field made a difference in the overall offense. About 7 PPG if I remember correctly. OILERMAN, and Jamalisms 1
IsntLifeFunny
But yes, as I already covered, Tannehill led us to the number 1 seed with one of the most injured teams in NFL history. Bit like Steve Beuerlein's 1999 season with the Panthers (stats wise anyway, NFI how fans etc felt about Beuerlein during and after that season).
