Hope this is the start of a youth movement for the rest of the season and corresponding trade deadline moves open up more opportunities for Marcus Harris, Kevin Winston Jr and even Gunnar Helm needs t

This opens up a big hole in the roster for a plodding, fumble recovering receiver.

We all already know Chig is gonna go to a good team and put up big numbers and the Tennessee Titans Farm System for the NFL will continue

I'm sure the Titans tried to trade him but talking about the front office like this makes me want to play Madden Franchise mode again.

Are you playing Madden 2026?

Nope. I tried 24 at my brothers and was disappointed. Then they caught me in a moment of weakness and i bought last years and hardly played it. I waited for the reviews and stuff this year and everything i saw was bad bad.

So im going to keep my cash till they either get rid of the exclusive rights or do a total rebuild of the game.

Which likely means i never play a football video gsme again lol.

Man... the Maddens from Eddie George to Michael Vick covers were pretty good.  Of course I played it on my PC so I don't know exactly how they played on PS3 or XBox.  But damn... I knew some good hacks drafting and develop players into a bunch of 95-99 overall rating players on my roster.

Hint: I changed players' positions in the off season.

Sucks that EA has a monopoly on the the NFL licensing.  Now they are owned by a Saudi investment group.

Ya they wrrw pretty damn good back then. The problem with all the games the last 10ish years js everything is pre canned animations. Someone starts that trip forward for 7 more yards animation and you cant do anything but watch. Stats mean nothing outside speed and acceleration.

The switching position thing still worked the last i looked.

I used to draft the quickest/fastest LB's and switched them over to DE.  I also drafted corners with decent tackling ability to switch them over to SS or FS.  Then switched the SS's and FS with decent tackling ability to Linebackers.  Speed was the name of the game.

Another hack was switching my level 97 franchise quarterback to kicker right before signing them to a 7 year deal worth less than $7 mill.  Salary cap was always less than half used.  I was the most greedy, evil capitalist owner.

Too bad running a real NFL franchise is not as easy as Madden easy mode lol

I tried to house rules myself to make it somewhat difficult. None of the stuff you mentioned. Limited myself to only trades the computer offered and only if it made some sense. Not trading corey davis for chris  jones even if they offered it. They added a setting to limit how many times and how offten you could use the same play innthe same game so i made that almost as low as possible.

The game was still crazy easy.

Man, spent so much time tweaking my roster and making my team the faster.  Anyway, back to the subject.  Let's get my boy, Restrepo, some playing time LOL

The franchise is dysfunctional from top to bottom. With AAS as the owner, the Titans are going nowhere

The team is 'dysfunctional' because we suck.  I'm not saying AAS is a great owner or that her meddling is a positive, but if/when we start winning, the 'dysfunctional' label will go away.  The key to winning is getting good players and having coaches who can maximize their talents.  I'm confident Borgonzi can bring in the players based on his last draft.  The question in the coaches, and we'll have to wait and see.

One thing I know for sure is that meathead wouldn't have done much better than BC over the past 26 games.  He's got a good situation in NE now, but as his ego gets larger and he quickly gets to that 'smartest person in the room' feeling, Maye's career will likely be wasted.

The Titans beat the Patriots last year, who were also terrible. How is NE suddenly such a good situation?

Maybe we won last year because Callahan was the coach. We scored 7 more point last year and with the great Mason Rudolph at QB...

Uh, well Josh McDaniels seemingly having autonomy with the offense and not having Vrabel interfering as much could be a thing. Giving a young promising QB weapons and watching him grow could also be a thing. Let's not forget that they have a fairly creamy schedule.

Not all bad teams are created equal. And for all of Vrabel's faults he's not the worst coach in the league. As much as fans were on board with moving on from him, Amy didn't want to. But he and his hard-headedness forced the issue.

NE was 30th in points scored and 21st in points allowed last year.  They are now 8th in points scored and 5th in points allowed.  It's silly to pretend as if a coaching upgrade isn't a major factor here.
