Sure yelling can be a sign of someone who has no real argument and they just want to either intimidate or deflect on the current situation to like you said hide that fact. However, you can also just be mad, trying to get a point acrosss, making sure everyone hears you.... there are lots of reasons that are not just "i got nothing". Idk about other spots but I would bet you would be hard pressed to find any good coach that never yells at players. The whole point was they did it constantly in the past which is seen as some golden bygone era of the sport. Did Callahan Sr yell a lot when he was a HC? Why is the defense kicking their asses? Stop with the excuses, there is not one thing that Callahan has done that would make anyone so sure about his future. Last year it was Levis, OL and the ST coach he hired, and now it is “professionals are not motivated enough and need to be yelled at like kids”. (See how that works yelling at men who make twice your salary.) It is apparent to me what the problem is. Callahan is a shit offensive coach and a shit HC. There is nothing anyone can point to that’s different other than the blind faith you all have is a coach hired by Ran Carthon! Both of these failures should have been sent packing together! If the HC sees his players giving less than 100% effort, it's his JOB to get in their grilles and call it out. It has zero to do with "the plan". Bullshit! Grown men don’t need to be yelled at. That’s amateur shit. See how that amateur shit worked for Saban and Meyer!! And this yelling shit proves he is over his head, just like those 2. Grown, professional men don’t need to be yelled at and they won’t take too kindly to it. If that is Callahan’s plan, you can cancel him right now. If the coach had nothing to do with the major decline in competitiveness in 24, how did the roster get so much worse that they could only win 3 games the entire season and had a negative point differential almost in the double digits? Some people still see head coaches as glorified drill sergeants and cheerleaders. Professional players want a coach with a good plan and who leads by example, not some dork with bitch tits and a 3-14 record screaming words. Because Vrabel 's entire scheme was built around low scoring games. Bowen's defense was the epitome of bend and eventually break. The offense was 3 yards and a cloud of dust. It kept games relatively close. And yes, Vrabel was good at winning games we shouldn't but he also lost games when we shouldn't because of the mindset. His style coaching will not win championships and if he doesn't change in NE then he'll find himself out of there before too long. I'm so sorry for you and croat that ya'lls vaginas miss rubbing back and forth over Vrabel's glorious motorcycle cop mustache, but you need to get a grip. He better hope that Maye pans out and covers his ass because frequent 6-8 win seasons means you can’t get better , and you are stuck in NFL purgatory. We all know how it’s going to turn out unless Maye turns into a top qb. IsntLifeFunny

But he can coach a championship defense. oldschool

We are not hearing reports of the defense being utterly putrid…it’s his offense. He is screaming now because he feels the pressure and he knows he is in over his head. Keeping Callahan is what bad franchises do. They should have started from scratch with a new coach and QB. Next year, Cam will be learning a new offense with a new coach, delaying his progress. I kinda thought he was screaming because they were making mistakes
SleepingTitan
People. Stop with this moronic "Remember the Titans" bullshit regarding coaches. These are professional athletes. They're grown men. No amount of inspirational speeches or coaching tactics will elevate them. Coaches do NOT make players at the professional level. If the team still respects him, that ass chewing will work. Sounds like they deserved it freakingeek

Callahan may need to do a serious assessment of his talent as an OC and he may need to bring in someone who knows how to call plays. His offensive designs will be valid criticism if he comes out with the same wonky bs he did last year. But we really don't know that yet. Gotta wait and see. As for last year, he claims he tried so many things and couldn't find an offensive footing because in game Levis mentally collapsed under pressure. They ran plays in practice. Shit looked fine. In game, different story. I'll give him some benefit of the doubt
