Well there is no shortage of racists out there and he’s statistically not nearly the only one on the board. He didn’t call anyone the N word or anything, so it’s just a view into the mind of the white supremecist that we don’t normally get to see out in the open.

I can’t recall who they are but there are definitely a good amount of posters who are at the very least big fans of being racist to people who aren’t white.

Now here's the thing, and I took heat for saying it at the time BUT we were past that point 4 years ago. When Biden was running, talking about how he was going to be able to work with republicans, I told everyone that this was a fantasy. The die was already cast and the battle lines were drawn. The Republicans already knew they were in a war (because they started it) and behaved accordingly. The left and more specifically the establishment wing of the left couldn't see it and behaved as though it was business as usual. Biden winning allowed the left to become even more complacent as the right ramped up. The left is just starting to realize that they're in an existential war and losing because they haven't even begun to fight back.

I don't particularly notice Democratic politicians acting like they are in an existential war right now. The party also seems completely rudderless. Really they have been since Obama left the scene.

You're right that democratic politicians aren't acting like they're in a war and frankly, they really can't. They're just as beholden to capital which is what fuels the right anyways. The left is the only hope for the country and the "center" would prefer to be ruled by Republicans in perpetuity than to cede power to the left. They can shadow-box the right forever and still make money but ceding power to the left would mean actually taking on the monied interested that fund the party and they're not about to sacrifice their personal gain for the common good. The centrists will shit on me for it but it's true and everyone knows it. Kamala got tons of billionaire money and as we've plainly seen, those campaign donations are investments that get a return. Our best realistic hope is that the Trump administration implodes, the right can't find another Trump (very likely), and that someone that can kind of day-walk between the center and the left emerges to lead the party by say the mid-terms (unlikely).

Yup. And it's why we continue to lose. I remember back when the Obama beat the shit out of Romney and the republicans had an election autopsy that led them to the conclusion that they needed to go further right. I laughed and thought it was the end of the modern republican party. Turns out they were right. The democrats know what they need to do but they won't do it because it would up-turn the current way of doing business.

I doubt many of them actually give a fuck. You only live 1 life and theirs is set. There won’t be a war between Dem and Rep. They are the same. Majority of people involved in politics at this level aren’t in it for politics. Very rare you get someone like an AOC or a Bernie. US Politics was fried from the onset of Reagan we just never realized it.
