The biggest bright spot last night was Sweat's play.    6 tackles, 2 more loss and constantly disrupting the Miami blocking schemes. He did this without Simmons as well. He played 78% of the

Titans HAD to upgrade their Dline. Newton, Fiske, and Jenkins were all guys who played the same role as Simmons. I like those guys but I've told people all offseason that the Titans weren't going to d

As long as they can keep Sweat away from Davenport he's got a chance!

Ya. But there were reports he got up into the 390s last year...

It'll just be on coaches and culture to keep him focused. We'll see. Most kids mature at some point. He's still young.

His conditioning can't change? He can't go on a diet or curb his drinking?

Even at 350, conditioning is going to be very difficult for him no matter how hard he works.

Listening to the 104.5 show now. Telling a story about the Texas coach calling the defense soft and sweat laughing about it on the back of the bus...

Edit: 50:00 markATM.

Edit2: read my post 2 after this before responding added a little more context.

That kind of stuff doesn't bother me. Combination of him being young and dumb and different players requiring different types of coaching. Some guys respond to being in their face and push them. Some guys if you get in their face, they shut down so you it takes different methods. It'll be up to our coaches to figure out how to motivate him. That stuff is just about coaching and I think we have some good coaches.

Actually just came back to edit that. They kinda spin it into a positive talking about the defense turned it around after that, and he is liked in the locker room.

Not sure what all to take from it. Just tossing out info atm.

Sweat has potential to be the next Vita Vea. Vita Vea next to Jeffrey Simmons is insane.

Sure. He also wanted to quit football and got a DUI a few weeks ago while rumors swirl that football is secondary to partying. He also would have been there in the 4th because of his off-field issues and the fact he isn't a pass rusher.

Who knows, maybe he surprises and is dominant. He does have the talent.

No way his playing weight is 330.

He had a Mike Keith interview where MK asked about his playing weight and where the Titans wanted him.. he said they'd told him 350 and that he's around 360 right now iirc.

Feel free to confirm. I was doing something else while listening so I might've misheard. It's fairly short.

Listening to Callahan there is going to be significant weight benchmarks built into Sweat's contract and they are going to fine him hard if he doesn't meet those thresholds.

Not sure that makes me feel any better lol. Is there a watch tape clause as well?
