SleepingTitan
Levis is probably mentally distracted by making footwork and mechanic adjustments. Anybody who's ever had a golf lesson knows what it's like trying to fix your swing. In the game, he'll be fine. Reverting right back Where is that Bum T Sweat? The things Levis struggles with are some of the hardest things to improve; ball placement and decision-making. The hope was that we would hear he was much improved from last season but that was always unrealistic. Right and isn’t ball placement/accuracy a skill that is basic ? I mean it’s not dependent on scheme or supporting cast. I mean I can get the decision making stuff as part of the new offense being different from Vrabel’s bs scheme but the throws into the lake are just hard to make excuses for. And especially accuracy on short and medium throws. Nobody gives a fuck about arm strength and deep balls. Last season the coaching staff did everything to minimalize the possibility of him throwing multiple INT's per game and yet he was lucky he only had 4 INT's, because there was 10+ interceptable throws, the film said it all. I've always loved the 'almost-interception' stat....

This will be a faster pace offence so he’ll have no excuse for being a slow thrower like he was in last years O.

Honestly, all of my experience following football tells me that ball placement is one of those innate traits where you either have it or you don't. We've seen a few, select guys improve from really bad to pretty good but that sample size is really small. Most guys with ball placement issues never over-come them. From the star, we've been hoping Levis is an outlier. Jury's still out. Justafan, rns90, OILERMAN, and 1 other

If a QB is late getting to a crossing route in his progression, he'll often rush and throw the ball behind the receivers. You also see it on those dirtballs QBs throw on short routes. The hope for Levis is that the game slows down enough for him not have to rush. Justafan

I can actually see the change in his mechanics being the reason for that level of errant throw. Thrill
The Levis hooting and hollering is so played out and a stupid carryover argument from the Tanny nut huggers. He was a second round pick. If he sucks this year we move on, if he’s good then we’re good to go. It’s that simple. I’m not really concerned with what he does in camp unless he’s getting benched for Willis or Myles Garrett’s punching bag. And lol at Mason Rudolph being anything more than a cheap backup. I think the best case scenario is that Levis improves his accuracy into the high 60s or low 70s and makes enough big plays down the field to offset the ball placement issues. Because football mechanics isn't something that is as common or as easily understood as baseball ones. And obviously you watch and love the latter sport just as much as I do. 1 hour ago, Callidus said: How is the levis discussion related to anything tannehill? Yeah no one even brought him up.
