Carthon has totally botched the entire job. He is incapable of being an NFL GM and they need to cut bait in the off season

Entire is excessive hyperbole even for me. Hes done some good, some ok and some bad.

We just going to cut this whole draft class while we are firing the coaches and front office?

Wtf cares about yardage? They aren't the top defense.

I wouldnt totally discount the defense, they arnt bad but....

The yardage totals are unless because of the turnovers and sts Giving teams short fields.

I would say they are pretty average overal, good against the run, poor in the red zone, pass defense is up and down because of the penalties. Lack of a reall passs rush is probably the biggest problem. Turnovers not great either but that seems to be slowly getting better.

Yardage is irrelevant.  Scoring is what matters.

Did you read what i typed? Ill admit it has my usual typos but it was pretty clear. Yes points is what matters but yardage can be meaningful to a lesser extent. It just means nothing in our case because of external factors.

If the defense isnt giving yards that should give your offense better field position to help improve scoring for example. Its not as cut and dry as who cares if they gain 400 yards if they only score fgs. Never giving up a td sounds good on paper but having to go 80 yards every drive especially with an offense like ours is also a huge hurdle.

lol 26th in scoring and tied for 30th in redzone defense (and by the way the Eagles are now the best total defense in the NFL).

I couldn’t believe how explosive & precise the Eagles defense looked last Thhurs night against Wash. Quinyon Mitchell was absolutely suffocating Terry McLaurin & the LB’s were just flying around…..

The off season spending spree was totally stupid and of course it failed, they always fail.

The funny thing is the CB position is actually solid without the two free agent/trades. Browlee, Baker and McCreary have been solid.

And cheap.

(or would have been…)

And this was after AAS took half the job away.  He's still the "GM" but it's a matter of time before Brinker takes the other half.

Yes. It always was despite some posters not wanting to hear it. What’s worse than being the top spending team in FA is being the top spending team and not addressing QB or EDGE at all

Even if some think it’s harsh as it’s early, what gives anyone confidence in letting Carthon pick the QBOTF? The premise of “you can fire him if it’s bad next season” is dumb because he might have already set the franchise back for another few years by then..

Im curious how the offseason would have gone if autry and Aziz both chose to stay. Just curious how much that changed thier strategy. We already know riddly was never in the game plan till they missed out on them.

This is exactly how I see it. They keep giving updates on Sneed & Awuzie & I don’t really want these guys back. Baker & Briwnlee have been better.
