NFL econ 101....   If at all possible, draft the expensive positions, sign the cheap ones in free agency.  Not the opposite.

Brock Bowers does not get frostbite. Brock Bowers bites frost   Brock Bowers doesn't do push ups, he pushes the Earth down   Death once had a near-Brock Bowers experience.

@TitansGuru will have to take donations for the space needed for this

Give Chig more opportunities, he even has 500 yards last year with a horrible offense

Agree with you completely!  He was lost in offense at times.  Not saying to highlight him but at least use him - more athletic than most linebackers and bigger than most safeties

Chig is fine in a pass-oriented offense that focuses on efficiency in the run game. If you were going to upgrade TE, it would be to get that 250lbs+ guy who could hold the edge and be a threat down the field. Bowers isn't that guy, and the Titans are looking to move to a more passing-centered offense featuring WRs. Again, I don't understand the infatuation with Bowers, who is too small to be inline TE, and in the best case scenario, he doesn't give you much more than Chig as the move TE.

He's not Kelce, Gronk, Clark, Gonzalez, or even Walker, who were all much bigger TEs with a more versatile skill set.

There's not obsession really.  Just the only interesting topic going at the moment.  I think the best comparison to what Bowers could be (not will be) is Vernon Davis in a west coast offense.

Chig is a 4th round pick who was drafted by an FO that was power run heavy.   I don't know him well.  You guys know I've only been halfway following the Titans until recently again.     I do find it unlikely Chig is a vernon davis type of TE.

Makes a lot of sense why you don't know what you're talking about

I know exactly what I'm talking about.   I'm talking about the Titans drafting a TE... I think... maybe.... *squirrel!*

I think I've been reasonable. I haven't stated you're completely wrong about Chig. I've stated I'm doubtful bc of where he was drafted and who drafted him.   I am stating there are expected differences in most top 10-15 TE prospects and 4th round picks.

All of what I've said has been pretty measured, conservative and pretty reasonable.

Chig is a 4.5 forty TE that had 500 yards on a shitty offense last year.

Chig is another in a long line of athletes drafted to play a position they're not that good at.

He doesn't run great routes. He doesn't stack defenders well in his routes. He doesn't get open. He doesn't just disappear b/c the titans "don't use him enough". He disappears b/c he's not very good. It was the same w/ Jonnu Smith. And what happened to him when he left? Jack shit b/c he's not any good. And that's not even considering them as blockers. Chig was a 4th round pick for a reason and it's proven to be valid.
