So, Demarco Murray carries Mariota.

Henry becomes superstar RB.

Henry can't carry Mariota.

Offense is horrible despite Henry’s 2000 yard season! Sarcasm.

Tannehill takes over.

Offense immediately goes from horrible to top 5.

DH was the catalyst because Tannehill was basically Mariota and DH carried him.

I'm the one accused of arguing in pretzels. Make it make sense.

Don't forget Tannehill being on pace for 4,000 yards after putting up less than 2,000 in 11 games!

New era begins.   Please declare yourself for or against in the comments, so we can figure out the new teams.

I would have joined the mob if he said anything other than this.   RIP Fanboys.  I know it’s been miserable being wrong at every turn the past 3+ years.  But @OILERMAN @BudsOilers and @oldsc

It's not like we were bottom dwellers. We had 3 (9-7) seasons and a playoff win with poor QB play.

Admittedly 2019 was going in the wrong direction, but this team had the foundation in place.

It's no coincidence we are in the position we are today due to the nature of the roster.

You have to ignore the actual season and take stats over multiple seasons to extrapolate out over a ghost season to understand.

Henry "carrying" Mariota never made any sense to me.  It was Murray who did the heavy lifting in Mariota's only good stretch as an NFL player in 2016.

I think Mariota was good during that period. Problem was, teams figured out how to defend him with closed field, press coverage, and he couldn't beat the blitz. Once that happened it was over.

I love how these retards gloss over 2019 Henry stats in the first six games "since he had already become the star RB carrying the offense"......69 YPG.  3.7 YPC.  16 PPG offense.  27th in the RZ.....

Tannehill comes in and he jumps up to 5.9 YPC, 125 YPG.  Offense scoring 30 PPG and they are hitting 90% in the RZ.....

Henry carried on that pace in 2020 when the sucky QB had 40 TD and 7 TO's....

Tards are gonna Tard.  Jamal, Scine, Russ.  All of them honestly should go over to Go Titans.  More aligned with their intellect.

I never bought into the idea that the Eddie George pep talk had any effect on Henry taking off...but can't say for certain

I always thought it had more to do with the Titans feeding him the ball...as opposed to splitting carries with the like of Dion Lewis.

It's pretty silly to think a pep talk spurred his play In my opinion.

Dude... Vrabel did not want to do this. He was forced into Levis.

I think he's done after this season and he knows it. NE rumors might be true.

This kind of reminds me of when some rumors were going around saying Vrabel might even go back to college coaching, which he def. denied on that episode of BWTB.  Wasn't going to happen.

He also said on the same episode of BWTB that he wants to "See this thing through."  Meaning, he wants a SB ring with Tennessee.

I tell ya what, if that mofo defects to NE any time soon, I'll root against his ass in every game that he coaches, for the rest of his damn coaching career!

And why would he want to go up to NE, when he has a possible future gem in Levis, compared to what NE has going on at QB lately.

I think it did help.  The damn story has taken a mythical path.  But I think the talk did force Henry to examine what he was doing wrong (or not doing as a RB).  I think we are debating how big a help it was.  I'm just saying it's not totally useless or bs.

Please elaborate.

A roster constructed that produced three winning seasons and a playoff win with with POOR QB play.

We hit the perfect storm of all the pieces coming together.

- Tannehill deserves part of the credit - But let's not undersell this team just needed competent QB play to take the next step (and no that is not a stab or knock on Tannehill)
