Hell yeah! John Calvin & friends never burned "heretics" at the stake. Protestants never burned "witches". All the bad stuff was the Catholics fault! That's the ticket!

There's simply no defense for what has taken place. This wasn't a military encounter; this was terrorism plain and simple. There's a huge difference. It's unjustifiable and has setback peace for decad

The 6 billion was Iranian money from prior oil sales and held in South Korea.   In addition, it wasn't turned over directly to Iran.  The money is to be used for humanitarian purposes and pa

Shame on the US, shame on those that abstained including the UK, Ukraine, Italy, Germany

Its amazing, really. You had hundreds of Israeli civilians murdered but the resolutions are aimed at Gaza.

War sucks. Innocents get killed. Horrible. But Hamas specifically went after civilians. This hypocrisy is predictable and confirms that the UN is worthless and not worth a dollar of US funding.

The Geneva Convention is worthless

Future generations are going to ask how we let this happen

Once humanity figures out how to effectively combat terrorism and extremism, they'll surely wonder how we had it wrong so long. I'm not sure what the right answer is but it often seems the only answer "we" think makes sense right now is to engage with destructive military policies that cause a lot of collateral damage for civilians and likely create further circumstances for extremism to fester.

Even setting aside bloodthirst and feelings of vengeance, which surely infest and twist our collective responses, there's something of a catch-22 involved.

Whatever that future answer is, I hope we figure it out soon. The strongly militant approach we currently have simple doesn't do much other than create a slightly different-faced monster. Which is tragic.

Pretty obvious Israel strategy here

1: Publically dehumanise all Palestinians

2: Try to force journalists, relief workers and charity volunteers to leave so that they can’t report on what they are seeing

3: Murder Palestinians under the cover of darkness, hoping it’s not reported and accusing those who report it of anti-semitism

You know why they cut off communication with the outside world…

It’s also how Hamas coordinates and communicates amongst themselves.

Israel is attempting to hunt down and kill Hamas. It is abominable that they are going to kill a bunch of innocent civilians in this conflict, but I honestly don’t give a fuck if the Palestinians lose their internet access. That is simply not important.

You don’t think it’s important to have unbiased reporting as a state actively commits genocide?

You don’t think it’s important for human right charities and children’s charities like UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders to be given direction from their colleagues on how to stay safe and keep the Children they are helping safe?

I think it’s been made pretty damn clear time and again how they can all stay safe and how civilian casualties can be avoided: Leave Northern Gaza and evacuate Southward.

I would certainly like reporters and aid workers to have internet access, but not if that means giving it to Hamas, too.

Twitter has turned into a cesspool. Zero conversation.

What's happening in Gaza is terrible. There was never no going to be a quick and swift retribution. Hamas needs to be wiped out so Palestinians are never used as pawns like this again.
