tgo
Well no shit, Jack. And the fact that the UN staff are still there despite repeated warnings is wanton recklessness with their own personnel.

You had hundreds of Israeli civilians murdered but the resolutions are aimed at Gaza. War sucks. Innocents get killed. Horrible. But Hamas specifically went after civilians. This hypocrisy is predictable and confirms that the UN is worthless and not worth a dollar of US funding.

I'm not sure what the right answer is but it often seems the only answer "we" think makes sense right now is to engage with destructive military policies that cause a lot of collateral damage for civilians and likely create further circumstances for extremism to fester. Even setting aside bloodthirst and feelings of vengeance, which surely infest and twist our collective responses, there's something of a catch-22 involved. Whatever that future answer is, I hope we figure it out soon. The strongly militant approach we currently have simple doesn't do much other than create a slightly different-faced monster. Which is tragic. IrishTitansFan
IrishTitansFan
Pretty obvious Israel strategy here 1: Publically dehumanise all Palestinians 2: Try to force journalists, relief workers and charity volunteers to leave so that they can’t report on what they are seeing 3: Murder Palestinians under the cover of darkness, hoping it’s not reported and accusing those who report it of anti-semitism OILERMAN

That is simply not important. oldschool, tgo, and begooode

You don’t think it’s important for human right charities and children’s charities like UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders to be given direction from their colleagues on how to stay safe and keep the Children they are helping safe? I think it’s been made pretty damn clear time and again how they can all stay safe and how civilian casualties can be avoided: Leave Northern Gaza and evacuate Southward. I would certainly like reporters and aid workers to have internet access, but not if that means giving it to Hamas, too.
