The eagles threw the ball 62% more than the titans in a game they were leading by more than two scores for a significant portion of the game. I’d say that classifies as a more wide open offense than the titans.

Way to watch one Eagles game this year. The week before, they threw the ball 28 times and ran it 49 times.

Brown’s targets per game with the Eagles is roughly the same as it was with the Titans the past 2 years, despite Brown been on a snap count and leaving multiple games early last year. He’s also recently had a smaller target share than Devonta Smith.

The Eagles offense is light years ahead of the Titans in talent. They have a QB who has run the ball himself on 1st down 48 times this season. But yes, the Eagles play calling is more WR-friendly than the Titans offense with a shit OL and replacement level WRs.

I agree. It is better to trade AJB at peak value vs letting him walk next year and get maybe a 3rd comp in 2024.   I definitely didn't see this coming, but we got solid value. We are at the

I 100% totally defend Brown for getting as much money as he can. Good for him, fuck the greedy owners and league   But don't lie and pretend that's not what it's about. He's also not going t

I'm surprised the usual crew aren't criticizing Tannehill for not putting it slightly more in front and letting him possibly avoid being sandwiched due to slowing down just a touch for the ball.

This is the 2nd time it's happened. He got Hooper lit up too. Almost the exact same scenario.

Every window will be tight in DUI Downing's offense.  The targeting rules were designed to keep exactly this thing from happening, though they obviously can't be relied upon

Your problem is that you think, that I actually think J-Rob fucked up and I'm just making excuses for him. You're wrong on that front. I've criticized J-Rob plenty so I feel 0 need to cover for him; use the search function of you want. I just don't think he fucked up. I think that AJ, who he knows a lot better than you or I, gave him indications that s long term deal was not in the cards so made a tough decision. I was supportive of the decision then and I'm supportive of it now.

Burks looks like he's going to be a difference maker and the other value/money we got from the trade will help fill some holes that would only have gotten worse with AJ still on the books. Your victory lap is premature. The AJ trade wasn't about one year, it was about the long-term health of the team. Remember how quiet you and the other AJ crybabies were the last two weeks when Burks was playing well? There is more of that in your future. Enjoy the bitch-fest while it lasts.

yep... he did and you were

I think I’ve seen at least 3 media members say today that Vrabel didn’t want to trade AJB but Robinson traded him anyway. This is new info, right?

If Vrabel thought it was salvageable, that’s another strike against the several posters in this thread who mocked anyone (but mainly Jamal) who questioned whether AJB really “forced his way out.”

its not new info. vrabel straght up said as long as he is coach AJ is on the team... then the draft day night vrabels walks away to the back of the room when the trade happens and jrob is all awkward and it was bad.

I had a statement in my post, and then deleted, saying, “please don’t bring up the draft night video.” It’s a few second clip of Vrabel having a reaction to the trade, and it doesn’t come anywhere close to evidence that Vrabel was fully against it. All the body language experts are too much.

The Brown trade was 3 weeks after the infamous Vrabel quote. A hell of a lot can happen (or not happen) in negotiations in 3 weeks to convince Vrabel that not trading Brown was a viable option.

From what I can tell, the media reports are new info.

This is right on.

The Titans got draft capitol, what likes like a very good WR and also much needed cap space.

I thought this common knowledge based his comments that Brown will never be traded while he's the HC and his reaction to the trade on draft night.

3 weeks isnt long for a statement that large during a time where we know lots of things are in motion.

it may not have all happened on a whim during draft night. it may have happened a head of time and vrabel saying that was an early threat that he's out of AJ gets traded - a message to Amy.

But it's pretty clear from the statement predraft and the statement mid offseason.. and the statement this year with  "who the fuck are we supposed to throw to" that vrable was not on board.

Body language shows an obviously upset guy. No we dont know what was said at the moment or if he knew it was coming. But if you cant read that he's upset and JRob looks uncomfortable - i dunno what to say.

Obviously I can read that. But there’s a big gap between “Vrabel is upset they had to trade his star WR due to ridiculous contract demands” and “Vrabel is upset at Robinson for trading his star WR after Vrabel asked him not to, because Vrabel thought the relationship was salvageable.” If you can’t acknowledge that people can be upset about a decision and still know it was the only/right choice - I dunno what to say.

I aknowledged that... pretty clearly.

It's cumulative evidence that he was against the trade.

Its also just completely true that there was nothing needing salvaging and we didnt have to make a deal with him or really do aything other than ignore AJ being a bitch. He was under contract... for up to 3 more years f we'd wanted without signing a new deal. Plenty of time to get things done. There was no roster constraints.. and the positive for trading him was to open space to re-sign Simmons - which never happened.

All signs and reporst and direct quotes point to it being a WTF deal and vrabel not liking it. The body language reaction just is the cherry. No one is using that as THE hard evidence.
