Hearing AJ talk about how much more time he actually had to make plays in Philly because they actually protect the QB is crazy. It's an issue we all know is there to hear it from a guy that dealt with it hit that much harder.

Not resigning A.J. Brown will prove to close the window the Titans have to compete for the AFC.  With Tannehill, Henry, and Brown the Titans were able to compete with the elite teams, either making an AFC Title game, and/or getting the #1 seed.  Without him, unless the Titans draft a star WR, trade for a star WR, that window is over IMO.  Tanny is getting older, Henry is racking up miles, and in todays football you need elite receiving option or options.

Yeah it's not like this is a big secret.  There's zero doubt that this impacted not only the production but also the types of plays they could call with confidence.

We have all seen the Vrabel and AJB video.

 

Now take a look at JRob as he used game theory and models to simulate what would happen if you removed the AJB threat from the Titans very limited and unimaginative offense.

Robinson definitely totally fucked up the negotiations badly. 
 

And the fact that he never personally talked to AJB seems weird - I could never see Carthon not having personal relationships with guys.

I didn't listen but saw someone mention that AJ gave Philly all of our cadences and checks on offense prior to our game with them and we hadn't changed any of them.

It shows he was fake as fuck. So...You're gonna get all buddy buddy on the field doing drills and such and then cold shoulder a top player when it comes time to negotiate? That's a terrible business model regardless of the results.
