9 Nines
Backdrop: Russian people were told Ukraine's government leaders were nazis and that the Ukrainian people would welcome Russian troops with open arms for freeing them and would join in the fight against their leaders. This is what many Russia people believed. Look what Ukraine is sending back them. Translation: Mothers, wives, daughters of Russian soldiers! Take your men home. They came to a foreign land to kill innocent people, to destroy our homes. Your power is lying. The people of Ukraine meet them with weapons, not flowers. Demand from the authorities to stop the war of conquest, save your loved ones!

It’s the banking number system in Europe, how bank accounts communicate with each other. Russia can implement alternatives, but it will take time. Firstly, it will affect banking within Russia. Secondly, it will cut off Russian banking systematically from the rest of Europe. For example, when my company transacts with any bank account in Europe, a SWIFT number is needed to make the transaction. Payment processing system is its main function with high security and reliable confirmation. Physical flow of good is controlled by those confirmed payments as I understand it. A large proportion of physical trade in and out of Russia will come to a halt if Russian is taken out of it. 9 Nines
Think going to a grocery store, shopping for an hour with your basket full to be told none of your forms of payment are acceptable. Going to another store, having the same thing happen.........all day long. That is what Russia is fixing to face. tgo
It’s incumbent on the West to prevent this - it is a moral responsibility. Putin will not nuke us and will not nuke Europe.

Russia does try to intemidate it's enemies until that enemy stands up and fights then Russia gets disjointed. Ukraine will fight and is more intelligent than what Russia has faced in a long time. I honestly think Putin is gonna bankrupt Russia to the point where they can't fight anymore that may be awhile. They may eventually take Ukraine but he'll have to face a rebellion there and in Russia for a decade or more. Russia's entire economy is only slightly larger than the state of Florida. The bottom line is they don't have the money to build up a massive military. Obviously they have nukes, but their conventional forces are a paper tiger...as we are seeing now. There's no way they could ever hope to be a real threat to European countries other than to play the nuke card. I have to believe that even if Putin was deranged enough to want to do that smarter heads in the government/military would prevail.
