I think we’re at the point that no one else who needs to will care about anything corrupt that he’s doing.  Everyone has their minds made up.

Not everyone knows. Most ppl aren't paying attention yet.

A presidential candidate promising favors to Big Oil in exchange for $1B in campaign contributions is the very definition of quid pro quo corruption.

By allowing them to draft executive orders that he’s promised to sign on day one, DJT is quite literally selling the power and authority of the Oval Office for personal gain.

Every time we think Trump has hit rock bottom with his shameless and amoral antics….he finds a way to push it even further beyond the pale.

The whole “$1B from Big Oil” story might very well be the most shameless and blatant example of open corruption we’ve ever seen from a presidential candidate.

But instead of shining a spotlight on the story and holding Trump’s feet to the fire to ensure every American hears about it…. I’m guessing the national media simply sweeps the story aside to die on the vine.

I wouldn't say they're sweeping it aside per se... its just not gaining traction.

They just aren’t going to report on it

I'd say it's more incompetent than nefarious though. They're looking for they next story to go viral for views instead of reporting bc its important.

Not everyone knows how corrupt he is?  He's only been in the national spotlight in terms of politics, even if you're really not paying attention, for about eight and a half years now.

Some people don't even pay that close attention. Kinda surprising but true.

If that’s the case then Trump asking for money from billionaires isn’t going to move the needle.

DJT in his own words at a 2020 campaign rally:

I would be the greatest fundraiser in history. All I have to do is call up the head of every Wall Street firm, head of every major company, head of every major energy company. Do me a favor, send me 10 million for my campaign, “Yes, sir.” They’d say, “The only thing is, why didn’t you ask for more, sir?” I would take in more money, but you know what?

I don’t want to do that because if I do that, I’m totally compromised

But when I started calling, I would be the greatest fundraiser in history. Don’t forget. I’m not bad at that stuff anyway, and I’m president. So I call some guy at the head of Exxon, I called ahead of Exxon, I don’t know, I’ll use a company. “Hi, how you doing? How’s the energy coming? When are you doing the exploration? Oh, you need a couple of permits. Huh? Okay.”

But I call the head of Exxon, I say, “I’d love you to send me $25 million for the campaign.” “Absolutely sir. Why didn’t you ask? Would you like some more?” And if I make the call, now people make the call, it’s different. But if I made that call, I will hit a home run every single call. I would raise a billion dollars in one day, if I wanted to, I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to do it.

I can't imagine smart business people being dumb enough to give Donald Trump real money.

It's always cheaper to buy in with the winner after the election is over.  No wasted money.
