Even beyond the direct money impact, the markets favor stability, and Biden, boring as he is, has been stable. The Fed will likely cut rates before the election, and the economy, while maybe not as hot as some would like, is slowly moving in the right direction. If I'm a business person, I prefer Biden as president with republican control of the Senate and House. Trump's constant antics, stupidity, and rhetoric are a threat to the stability of our economy and the global economy. It's hard for me to imagine smart business people who desire that. Trump is straight up offering deregulation and tax cuts, if the price is right. You want Biden if you're a middle class worker(unless you're a retarded sucker) but a corporation wants Trump. You want Biden if you're a middle class worker(unless you're a retarded sucker) but a corporation wants Trump. Normally, they would be right to do so because it would be in their best interest (I would argue in almost everyone's best interest, economically speaking, but that's a different conversation). In this case, I'm not convinced that is true due to the polarizing nature of the candidate and the overall risk of turmoil at the national level. We are talking about smart people who are in this for the long game and are investing big time money to get the results they want. If they think Trump can give that to them, they will back him. Having said that, most of the businesses that backed Trump last time around pulled their support before it was over. His fundraising, as has been pointed out, is also pitiful, indicating that many businesses have chosen not to endorse Trump. It's one of the many signs that point to Trump losing, in my opinion, in November. The big money is going to Biden, not Trump.
ctm
Deserting NATO isn't good for business. Any multi national corporation should be scared to death of what Trump means for the future of Europe. begooode
In addition to politicizing the Fed, Trump wants punitive import tariffs across several sectors, while deporting +10 million immigrants who are mostly supporting the lower tiers of the workforce, all while the US is trying to combat inflation, high interest rates, and a historically tight labor market. The resultant labor shortages and higher prices will be particularly damaging to middle income Americans. Reactively, Trump will give more of the tariff money (taxes collected from Americans) to the most affected based sorely on election optics -- aka the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Other than these pillars, for everything else Trump is open for business to “make a deal” as long as he gets his cut first. You watch that video and think this is the guy leading Project 2025 and is in-line to hire people into the Trump Administration if he's elected? It's pretty bone chilling. These people are psychopaths.
