Starkiller
Sounds like Republicans have a new strategy for cutting the deficit… https://www.foxnews.com/politics/house-approves-bill-slashing-pete-buttigiegs-salary-1-dollar The House approved a measure late Tuesday that would slash Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's taxpayer-funded government salary to just $1. The bill — which was introduced by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. — was passed via voice vote Tuesday as an amendment to the 2024 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, the standalone funding bill for the General Services Administration, Securities and Exchange Commission and other related agencies. ctm
A government shutdown looms a week from today and now abortion is biting House republicans in the ass. Hard right republicans want to attach anti-abortion riders to must pass appropriation bills. But more moderate republican (6-8 of them) in democratic leaning districts are standing their ground and saying NO to the riders. Speaker Johnson has already pulled 2 appropriations bills (Treasury, Transportation) because he doesn't have the votes to pass them. House republicans took a long weekend off and return on Tuesday, just 4 days before a potential shutdown. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/09/us/politics/house-republicans-shutdown-deadline.html https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/10/us/politics/house-republicans-abortion.html The moderates said it was unconscionable for Republicans to attach unrelated anti-abortion measures to the spending bills just days after the party was clobbered on the issue on Tuesday in off-year elections. This is probably a rhetorical question, but if you are a moderate and smart enough to realize this, why are they still with the Republican Party? It's clear the crazies have taken over the party and they have no place there. MadMax, OILERMAN, and IsntLifeFunny 2

A while back the evannies ran a Compassion advertising campaign. They put the word compassion on billboards in TN and KY. What they are supporting is opposite of compassion. It's funny how when they said "that's just locker room talk" it began their decline away from christianity. Trump is a charismatic. People are drawn to him. Jesus was a charismatic, a very powerful one. Trump is a charismatic that has held the highest office on the planet. He is very powerful. Just as Jesus taught people the ways of love ye one another. Trump told them the 'Big Lie'. Only one with extraordinary charismatic power could make half the population of a country believe a lie.
