No, it's simple reality. There are not both sides to this argument. There is no direct threat tonDemocracy from Democrats. There is a clear and present danger running for the WH in Trump. That's just the tip of the iceberg, but have fun playing the victim role.

You've gotten pushback from at least 3 posters all with fairly rational points and you've failed to intelligently respond to any of them. If you can't handle that I don't know what to say to you.

 

As a sidenote, I'm very anti Trump but outside of that I'm fairly moderate.

The threats from the left have no power, a voice at most. The sane left members of congress keep them pretty well neutered. 

 

But the right likes to harp on it constantly. 

 

Meanwhile, the insane right is in complete power. There's millions of dollars pouring into The Heritage Foundation and Trump to turn this country into an acting dictatorship, no different than Netanyahu in Isreal. 

 

Think the point is to not equivocate a mosquito bite with a bullet hole. 

 

I'm centrist as they come, but the Republican party is currently dead, replaced by those that want total power.

No one is asking for you to say, "Biden or die!" But if you think the threats from the left and right are equal, you're in an irrational bubble of your own - casting stones from a false sense of superiority and "objectivity"

I get what you're saying but I also get where you're wrong.  Sure, there are several things wrong with the left side of the aisle, but they're not the inmates running the asylum.  If you want to see that kind of action, just look at the right side of the aisle, and you'll definitely see the lunatics in control of the asylum.

 

This is not an exoneration of the left, merely pointing out where the real threat is coming from.

It's a technique of the far right. If you're guilty of something then make the other side seem guilty of it as well then you won't look as bad.

 

The farther right and more extreme the Republicans get, the more dangerous and extreme they'll make the left seem. Then a vote for the right or not voting at all seems like a valid choice bc everyone is just as bad.... but they're not.

That's exactly what they want. I never said that the current threat is equal in the least. I've said many times that I'm not huge fan of Biden but Trump terrifies me. 

 

This started because I said I think Biden will lose to Trump and I have a problem with the Dogma on both sides.
