The FBI shot and killed a man in Provo, Utah, early Wednesday while serving a warrant after he allegedly threatened to kill President Biden and other government officials, the agency said.

.

Agents were serving an arrest warrant on Craig D. Robertson following his alleged online threats against Biden, according to a 30-page felony complaint signed by a judge Tuesday.

The complaint included screenshots of Facebook posts allegedly made by Robertson, one of which read: “THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR A PRESIDENTIAL ASSASSINATION OR TWO. FIRST JOE THEN KAMALA!!!”

So as it turns out…when all those MAGA and QAnon folks are talking about “Save the Children”….what they actually mean is “Save the children for ME!”

Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday he will not sign the loyalty pledge required by the Republican National Committee (RNC) for candidates to participate in the first primary debate.

“I wouldn’t sign the pledge. Why would I sign a pledge if there are people on there that I wouldn’t have. I wouldn’t have certain people as somebody that I would endorse,” Trump told Eric Bolling on Newsmax, declining to specify who he would not endorse.

All 16 Republicans allegedly involved in the “false elector” scheme in Michigan after the 2020 presidential election have pleaded not guilty to charges as of Thursday, the state attorney general’s office announced.

The 16 defendants were each charged with eight criminal counts, including conspiracy to commit election law forgery and election law forgery. Prosecutors alleged that defendants met on Dec. 14 in the basement of the Michigan GOP headquarters and signed their names to documents falsely claiming to be the state’s “duly elected and qualified electors.”

Those certificates were then transmitted to the U.S. Senate and the National Archives “in a coordinated effort to award the state’s electoral votes to the candidate of their choosing, in place of the candidates actually elected by the people of Michigan,” according to prosecutors.

An evangelical leader is warning that conservative Christians are now rejecting the teachings of Jesus as "liberal talking points."

Russell Moore, former top official for the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) who is now the editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, said during an interview aired on NPR's All Things Considered this week that Christianity is in a "crisis" due to the current state of right-wing politics.

"Multiple pastors tell me, essentially, the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching—'turn the other cheek'—[and] to have someone come up after to say, 'Where did you get those liberal talking points?'" Moore said.

"When the pastor would say, 'I'm literally quoting Jesus Christ' ... The response would be, 'Yes, but that doesn't work anymore. That's weak," he added. "When we get to the point where the teachings of Jesus himself are seen as subversive to us, then we're in a crisis."
