Well, how do you cut income taxes from the 47% that dont pay?

This percentage is hollow without the details.  What are the incomes for this 47%?  If income taxes were collected from this 47%, how much would that be?  How much money would this 47% have left to live (pay bills, etc)?

These individuals pay sales tax at the minimum.  These people are struggling to own a 1st home.  The wealthy are out there with multiple vacation homes, boats, and other super expensive toys.  But yeah, shit rolls downhill again.

No I don't think that has anything to do with super rich. It is the top 1.8% of income earners though.    Also if you think the proposals to raise the taxes on people making that much are ex

They have lots of plans to help lots of different causes. Those plans are being held up by two senators at the moment who give cover to others who may or may not be on board.

The "give us two more senators" argument seems simplistic and naive.

Also, you guys keep trying to turn this into an argument about if Democrats are better than Republicans or not. I clearly believe that they are better. I'm just saying that unless there's a plan to fix something that prevents the fascist takeover, all they're doing is delaying it temporarily.

You have posters saying we need those two senators to "save our democracy" but there's no clear plan about how Democrats will actually do that this time that's any different than the plan we had in 2020 which is "vote for us, we'll fix it, somehow!"

Only 11% people between the ages 25-55 don't pay income tax. Their precocious little 47% number comes out of the elderly and very young.

A "lies, damn lies and statistics" situation is at work here.

Do you really think they could come out and campaign on “We’ll eliminate the filibuster, expand/reform the court, codify roe, and enshrine voting rights into law” outright?

That is not going to fly in certain battleground districts that you really need even if that’s what they plan to do. Some level of coyness is required from the Democratic leaders to secure victory before getting to next steps.

Naive lol. I wasn’t even commenting to you. The plans to save Democracy include keeping Republicans out of power, but even that is fleeting if the Supreme Court overturns Howard.

This is a tortured metaphor at this point. It's pretty telling IMO that you guys basically are not willing to engage with the fact that Democrats have no plans to fix anything even if they maintain control in 2022.

Even if they did, when "plans" meet reality, reality wins (see: 2020 Democratic "plans").

Nope. It seems like everyone is missing the point of the "torture" metaphor (I'd say the reality of things is a lot more tortured than the metaphor).

There's a fucking psychopath in the room. Yes, we're concerned with ourselves and mom and brother and baby fucking sinclair or whoever. We can or all could do things differently.

But we are in survival mode. There's a maniac running unchecked and the response to this should not be some kind of nuanced soul searching on our own part or over analyzing our own behavior--it's dealing with the fucking psychopath!

yes. Mom is a shitty parent and even a bitch some times. I have to help her with shit I shouldn't but the alternative is dad beating the entire family's ass every night. We can psychoanalyze mom later, lets deal with dad and his violent ways first.

I don't think that things will happen even if Democrats get two extra senators and maintain the House

Been out of the country. It's fun to come back and see the lefties argue with each other.

Also amazing it's always Dems great and have plans to fix everything,  GOP are all fascists with no plans.

No, you just agree with Dem plans and not any GOP plans. And like I have stated many times, good and bad are just a point of view.

No one believes you’ve went anywhere except to buy some beans and hotdogs at the Cash Saver.

As to your point, feel free to name any plans by the GOP that they’ve tried to pass to help healthcare, infrastructure, or the economy besides cutting taxes.

.And no plans to fix anything is still 1trillion times better than some horrid mixture of A Handmaids Tale and Elysium
