IsntLifeFunny
I will say one person who could end up in some trouble is Sally Yates. She said to Congress that his name was never unmasked, which is a lie. She likely was also the one who leaked, which is a felony. If they can prove that was her then she should be prosecuted. I don’t think Yates said Flynn hadn’t been unmasked. She said she wasn’t the one who asked for him to be unmasked, nor had she leaked it to the press. Close Biden ally, he has actually floated her name for VP earlier on. Will be glad to see her back in government once Trump is defeated. Should be easily confirmed with the new Democratic Senate Majority. Edited May 13, 2020 by tgo pamo9, Mercalius, and ChemEngr79 2
tgo
Trump and his cadre of thugs are at war with the American Justice System, the Constitution, and the rule of law itself. All I have to say is that they better be praying for a fucking miracle in November or they're all going to be in deep shit and running for the hills. The people feeding her the briefings did not have authorization to unmask Flynn, yet we now have a list of who requested he be unmasked. It doesn’t really line up with this quote Yates declined to talk about any classified information, including underlying evidence in the Flynn case, but it seems clear that Flynn’s name was not masked in the reports on the phone call that she saw. She said, “I oftentimes would get intel reports that included the name of the U.S. person. Not because I or anybody else had asked for it to be unmasked, but because that intelligence only made sense if you knew who the identity of the U.S. person was, and that’s an exception to the minimization requirements.” In other words, the authors of these intelligence reports included the names, because the reports could not be understood without them. She noted that there was one other common instance in which an American’s name would be included: “If it’s evidence of a crime.” Yates said that she never made an unmasking request, adding, “This idea that there’s this dramatic unmasking of a name—in my experience, that never happened.” https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/preserving-the-russia-investigation-a-preview-of-our-interview-with-sally-yates?irclickid=wqgR1gRlPxyOWmR0TbWK8Xs3UkiwWWw5yQKFxc0&irgwc=1&source=affiliate_impactpmx_12f6tote_desktop_Viglink Primary&utm_source=impact-affiliate&utm_medium=27795&utm_campaign=impact&utm_content=Subscribe to The New Yorker Now and Get 12 issues for %246&utm_brand=tny This is from 2017. Also, I remembered the story wrong. She may or may not have said this to Congress. This was an interview after a closed interview with the intelligence committee. Her leaking is entirely different, so I should have made a different paragraph and phrased it differently. She’s a prime suspect in my opinion since the list says she was the first to unmask on November 30th, before conversations between Flynn and Kislyak. It’s pretty amazing to even consider the thought, but you’re right. The problem is the fact no Dem running would have moved the needle off his base. He’s still polling 92% with Republicans, which is amazing in and of itself.

Unknown, but considering it happens 1000s of times a year, probably a few. 12 minutes ago, LongTimeFan said: why did they ask for the Flynn unmasking? Well, they didn't ask to unmask Flynn. The intelligence report had "redacted" made a call to the Russian ambassador. They went through the channels, of which was approved, to find out how the redacted individual was. I’d give Trump about a 20% chance of winning. If betting on elections were legal in the US, I’d bet a lot of money on Trump losing. There’s just no way can survive this. The lives of tens of millions of Americans have been destroyed, on top of everything else. The economy is now the worst its been in 100 years amid the the most demonstrably corrupt administration in American history, and everyone with any common sense knows it.
