IsntLifeFunny
I don't think we have the size to run a traditional 3-4 as a base, but we could switch to it similar to how San Fran runs their D. We have a lot of pieces for a hybrid type 3-4 1 gap/ 4-3 under. I hope if Horton comes along, he isn't married to a specific defense.
Tex in a Can
He's having Tony Dungy whisper sweet nothings into the Lions management ear for him... Caldwell is probably better than Wiz. Seems to me that he has a lot in common with Wiz. Went to a superbowl and lost. Lost his QB and got fired.
IsntLifeFunny
Morgan fits the five tech in a 3-4. It's very similar to the position he already plays
Face
Wow code. Ayers is a perfect 3-4 OLB. Brown can play the other spot. They just need to sign a couple good ILBs that shed blocks and tackle. As for the DL, Casey can play DE and slide inside on passing downs and still penetrate. Klug is a goner and I'm not sure how Morgan fits. Everyone can be replaced. I remember reading Brown is a perfect ILB for a 3-4, though maybe a bit small. He's a good blitzer & the ILBs in a 3-4 are more pursuit types. As far as Morgan I know Rex Ryan has always used very large guys as OLBs, basically 4-3 DE types like Calvin Pace & Quinton Coples. It helps with the run for sure. But there's all different types of 3-4s. Perhaps Fat Tom & Whiz can pick up Mr. Phillips while they're in Houston & bring his ass over here to get working on this 3-4 Bluth
Tim
Why do you guys think he chose titans over lions?sometimes there are family considerations too. The hell hole that is Detroit or Nashville. DrFlamehead
scine09
after watching these playoffs, i'm not sure there's any HC whose clock management you would like Bill Belichick. He's unbelievable at it.

Playing directly over an OT is harder because it's easier for both the G and T to establish contact.

Stan
The guy I'm most happy for is Wimbley he actually might earn that money he was a terrible fit in the 4-3 as a edge rusher. Edited January 14, 2014 by Stan

TitansWycheck89
Turns out the Titans had a 2nd interview with Zimmer this morning. Then they decided to go with Ken.
scine09
It seems like the Titans were probably the 1st choice among these guys.
luvyablue256
They were speculating if Whiz would want AJ McCarron You must be on cloud nine today lol Oh man, I feel great! This means a complete culture change at St. Baptist Sports Park. We're actually going to look at making moves to actually win football games instead of just keeping the lights on at grandpa's general store. Coaches will play the best players and hopefully develop them as well. Players will be accountable. Scouts will actually be HEARD and not just sent on the road to collect a check. We're actually going to start being ran like an NFL franchise! Now...memo to those limp dick bastards at 104.5 The Zone...there is an NFL team in town again. Get Vandy's balls out of your mouths! True, but if the scheme is working correctly, the strong side guard is occupied by the NT.
