You say that the back end of the WR group has to plays ST ( they all clearly will) ... well the back end also has to be able to play - get this - WR. Wild, I know, right? My argument has nothing to do with Bryce Oliver and everything to do with the quality of WR Ayomanor is.
IsntLifeFunny
Ayo is going to be on the roster. titanruss

Well on that case its nearly impossible to judge the WR play based on extenuating circumstances from last year. None of the returning WR's could be called anything close to "good" last year. The rookies have the luxury of being Borgs first draft class and his open compliments and willingness to give them room for their growth Edited July 29 by titanruss
TerryBoats
According to the guys on Buck's show who are watching camp, the OL will likely sink this team. The amount of ass they sucked was considerable. They were very high on Tate, and think he's easily the best looking rookie they've had at this stage of camp per their experience rns90, and OILERMAN

It will be a problem, period. The ceiling is mediocrity which would give the team a fighting chance at the playoffs. The floor is, well, really bad or worse or even worse than that or…. We've still got like 53 million in cap space, so there's room to sign guys if we can convince them to come here on a 1 year deal and play for a team not likely to make the playoffs. Borgo definitely has some work he can do there. The problem is if they’re any good at all on the OL, by this point they’re usually all signed up. The main concern, obviously, is Cams health. Not much but some. They all have various issues of course . Injury/ age/ etc.

It's disappointing because I think the roster is pretty good otherwise. They made very meaningful improvement to the defense and WR group and hired a coach who was winning 7 games per year with Zach Wilson at QB, simply because their defense was so good. If Cam plays well, they have a shot to compete. But with that OL, it won't be easy Edited July 29 by TerryBoats rns90, titanruss, and smokeater

Cally just continues to run longer developing routes with guys that arent Chase and Higgins. Daboll will be using motion and alignment to get guys open quickly after the snap which Cally was incapable of doing. Should helps some as long as they arent so bad that they just get run over immediately
IsntLifeFunny
I wouldn't be surprised if we flipped a pick+player (Levis) for an interior guy if the team shows sign of life at the start of the year but it's obvious the OL is sinking them.

I'm just going off the limited film I saw on him and his scouting report showing him as a poor pass blocker.
