NashvilleNinja
I once found a lock. It was at the cafe down the block having a coffee with a rock talking about a missing sock it had worn around its cock. It was around 9s o'clock.

He's battling .... no one. And its almost impossible to judge the talent from last year and they know it. He's an easy clear lock and you've been swindled by Oman and his Oliver mission. Sure he's gotta play special teams. So? haha. Edited July 29 by titanruss

So? haha. This would be a decent argument if Ayomanor were a good WR. But if he were a good WR then he would be a lock regardless of Ridley or Robinson or Oliver or anyone else currently on the roster. The #5 WR has to play special teams. There a very good reason to think that Oliver can beat out Ayomanor for #5 and being active on game days. That’s simply an argument about the value of special teams. But it’s not just about Oliver. Any young guy on the bottom of the depth chart isn’t a lock. He’s a day 3 pick who didn’t produce as a rookie despite being forced into action. He might improve in year 2. He might show that he can contribute on special teams. He might just not get any real competition in camp to make it worth waiving him. Or maybe he struggles again and Daboll doesn’t see any reason to keep him and they replace him with a cheap veteran or a waiver claim. Either way, he probably has a 90% chance of making the roster. So he probably will make the 53, but that’s not a lock… Edited July 29 by Starkiller OILERMAN

Tate's not cocky, but you see world class athlete in his mannerisms. Catching deep balls with one hand. Balls neither one of them could catch consistently w/two. The man's already established as the team's leader. ' Hey #1 pick, we have a few days off. Pack your bags we are going to Miami to practice.' That's not normal. How many rookies walk in and garner that kind of respect?

It's about being active on game days. Oliver is going to be active and play all the STs units. He can also back-up Tate at the X. Oliver makes the 45 game active. Ayo is a project. He's not good enough to just be kept as a developmental project. That's what the PS is for. Are you going to keep Ayo on the 53 when he's not going to be active or contribute? No, not knowing everything we know now. Saying Ayo is a lock is just a complete lack of understanding of roster construction

He will be back regardless of every single WR. - That's what a lock is. he was a rookie... in an offense where the coach was fired after 5 games... and the new staff was unwanted after... and had a rookie QB... and no one across from him... we've covered this. Yes, WR #5 needs to play ST. So? What's your argument? That he won't?!? Hahahahah. Again, covered. Even with Restrepo last year this was playing ST when they needed him to. 100% chance outside of a random off the field incident. Stop being silly. Again, your argument is relying on the idea that Ayomanor is a good WR. So far that has not been true, which is why he’s not a lock. Daboll is coming in with fresh eyes and may decide he doesn’t think he’s going to be worth keeping. He could show significant improvement in camp, in which case I’m sure they would keep him. But as that remains to be seen he is not a lock to make it. OILERMAN

My argument is relying on the investment, situation last year, current surroundings, the GMs statements, amount of WR we will keep, etc. Your argument relies on Bryce Oliver. You say that the back end of the WR group has to plays ST ( they all clearly will) ... well the back end also has to be able to play - get this - WR. Wild, I know, right?
