They don't produce enough plays. While Hill actually caused 7 fumbles over 2 years - the guy is good at punching balls.

But isn't that what they drafted Abdul Carter to be? 10 hours ago, OILERMAN said: As the Giants appear to be using Reese I take Styles every day over Reese OILERMAN
Popular Post OILERMAN
I didn't study the draft that much. I use the Anti-titansfan model. He starts declaring certain things a lock, like Reese clearly the best player in the draft it's time to bail on that player. This model has been very accurate over the years Justafan, Face, headhunter, and 5 others

I enjoy the entertainment but these past two years with the retard dogging the Titans for not taking Sanders and now this shit just shows how fake it all is. TR itself does a much better job of discussing prospects than the media and it isn't close. OILERMAN

Shit on Titans for taking him at 4 when you had him going 5,6, or 7 is legitimately wild when you think about what they're trying to accomplish by saying it. IsntLifeFunny
I'm personally hoping Tate becomes the best damn WR this team has ever seen. A decade long badass putting up 1k + seasons over and over. He has the skill set. Get em kid. Justafan, titanruss, and oldschool

He just fits the scheme much more, was a better off ball LBer, and even more freakish of an athlete. He could’ve been another Bulluck here. Reese would’ve been strictly an edge here & that’s just too much projection for a top 5 pick. I think things worked out great for us. I think so too. Seems pretty clear to me they want guys where the scheme fit is clear. That was notable in the FA moves and in the draft. I heard one of the podcasts talk about how Reese wasn't really a fit in Saleh's scheme. Saleh doesn't really use hybrid guys. He would just be an EDGE (risky) or off-ball LB. He would just be an EDGE (risky) or off-ball LB. I think that's the main difference between a 4-3 vs a 3-4. All 3 of your dline have to be big guys to soak up as many blockers as possible. I think your DEs typically need to be roughly Simmons size. In a 4-3, Simmons is a DT (although roles are similar) and in Saleh's scheme I think Simmons is probably as big as Saleh wants to go unless the guy is an abnormal freak of athletic nature. Caleb Banks, e.g. may have been an exception to the rule. JFM and Jackie Marshall are both between 290-305 lbs and are "gap penetrating" DTs. In a 3-4, those OLB/DPR edge rushers ideally are lighter and quicker so they can blaze around the blockers. That's great for that scheme, but if you ask a guy like Reese to line up in the dirt and just pin his ears back like a traditional 4-3 DE he may work out there, he may get ragdolled all the time. It's a risky projection for the 4th overall pick considering how light he is.
