He ain't lying. He wasn't drafted until the 3rd round and a team is going to prioritize a 2nd round pick over a 3rd round pick, even if they shouldn't. That business aspect. Trying to get as much value out of a decision as they can.

Also, the decision makers/coaches at the time sucked. So there's that.

I only value odd rounds. 1, 3 and 5. I would cut all 2s and 4s.

Yes, Willis is starting.  But be honest - he's the fall guy.  He's starting like that dude in Arizona is starting.  SOMEONE has to start.  Get that person on a cheap, short contract.

And with Willis you can attempt to sell the idea of not tanking to the dumbest fans.

Meh I wouldn't call him Brissett in Arizona, but yeah he only has one year to prove he can shoulder the load for a truly terrible team. They'll have to win at least 6 games for him not to be replaced.

I think the wonderful thing about Willis' story is he got a HUGE 'Contract for him' and a chance to start in the NFL!  Look at AR15.  Flopped.  Third season. He could flip up in the air heels over head and land on his feet.  Now, he might take this the same way Malik did-Just keep trying.  Malik's story is an encouragement to anybody trying to follow their dreams.  Don't give up before the door is actually closed to you.

He was given to GB for a 7th round swap. You weren't complaining at the time. He signed for Miami for peanuts in terms of starting QB money and they'll almost certainly draft a QB early.

They were stupid for moving up into the 3rd and drafting him regardless of what he does

What if he goes to the HOF
