Where did I say he wasn't initially starting what I pondered is whether the contract adjustment gives them flexibility at the trade deadline if things aren't going as well as hoped. Don't forget before Ridley got injured last year there were some teams reportedly sniffing around him ahead of the trade deadline. If they traded back to 12 and took Tate, I wouldn’t say a thing. At 4 though, you want a guy that checks all the boxes, and Tate doesn’t. He’s got good hands, body control, runs good routes, and makes some impressive grabs. He lacks the elite size and speed or the elite production to take him at the top. Agree to disagree though.
