I'd be willing to bet that Borgonzi has planned out who he takes in rounds 2-5, based on next years draft..

You can't make decisions based on next year's draft. Way too many variables.

No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

I keep going back to this quote

"For Cam, the best way to develop a quarterback is to give him a team that doesn't make him feel like he has to be Superman, at least early on," Saleh said. "There is going to be a time as Cam continues to develop where he can put this entire organization on his shoulders, and lead it to a win. But asking that of a young kid I think is unrealistic. So, building a structure for him that doesn't ask him to be Superman 60 plays a game will be at the front of our minds.

"(We have to) make sure that we support him with the proper defense, the proper run game."

Missing two starting OL and a TE while just adding Bellinger and Robinson as skill players isn't near enough.  You could almost argue that at this point it's a step back from a team that averaged 17 points per game.  Not to mention that the team didn't have any elite skill players to begin with.

2027 draft has 3-4 QB's, 4-5 WR's, 4 RB's all projected as first rounders..

Also two elite edge prospects and a CB many will say is on the level of Stingley and Gardner

If OG is the target at 35, there could be an opportunity for a trade down with Pregnon, Dunker, Rutledge and maybe Biscontis all on the board and all rated as 2nd day picks.

I'd stop trying to bandaid the OG spot and wasting cap space and solve it for the next 4 years.

I just think it'd be a reach to spend a 2 on one of those guys. Maybe add a vet and a guy in the mid-rounds. I agree about trying to stop band-aiding the position, but you can't reach either.

We'll see what else they do. FA isn't over yet and there's still the draft.

I'm arguing for upgrading the offense in the draft.

The OGs that I listed are considered day 2 picks.  Spending on a vet or waiting till round 4 and hoping that guy is an opening day starter is what a bandaid looks like.  Solve the position with a quality pick and move on.

I'm not in favor of spending another 8M on someone like Zeitler and still not have a starter in 2027.

Pick 66 is fine. I just see better players at 35. Maybe in a trade down. But at 35 it's a reach imo.

Does anyone know how much they have to spend to hit the 90% min cash spending requirement?

Or have they already hit that?

I also wonder how that extra 20 million in cap space from the insurance affects the equation.

I'm surprised a lot more teams don't use that.

Old? 53 will be “coming” up soon.

The ladies of the world will be laughing as usual.
