How crazy would it have been if Titans took the deal with the Giants and fucking tanked this year. They'd have Mendoza, Giants pick this year, and Abdul Carter. Plus the reported 2 extra 2nds

Love the 1st pick, not a fan of their 2nd round pick. I know they need corner help, but they could find a corner in the 3rd or maybe even top of the 4th. Who knows what's going to happen with Sweat? DL could become a big need if they move on from him.

This quote from Saleh in that PK article on Bricillo's hiring should apply directly to the OL and the level of asset investment already applied to it. Its beyond time to start developing some guys that weren't acquired via premium draft capital or big money FA signings.

Daniel Jeremiah on the Rich Eisen Show today said the buzz at the Senior Bowl was that the Jets were going to go full Joe Schoen and the Giants last year and try to pry Mendoza out of the Raiders hands but the Raiders will follow the Borgonzi Scheme and rebuff all advances.

Wasn't at all my intention just thought it was interesting because hadn't really heard of any teams seriously considering making a run at the #1 pick and Mendoza.

I don't blame the Jets for trying to get their QB. If the Raiders don't give in maybe they can follow what the Giants did last year with Dart and grab Ty Simpson before the Steelers can.

 

Not that I'd bet on it helping... it's still the Jets.
