That's funny because every city has a locked in podcast host. Hes not the lead for all of them. This dude has an amazing ego for something hes terrible at.

AAS is a very good owner. Not sure why this keeps getting rehashed. Vrabel, Robinson, Carthon, and Callahan all deserved to go for various reasons.

When they're not busy fucking up their QB situation the Browns spend their spare time fucking up their coaching situation.

Will they continue to hold his rights?

Unless they agreed to let his rights go then they would have those rights until his contract expires.

The Broncos had to trade for Sean Payton because his rights were still with the Saints as he had “retired” but his contract hadn’t expired and they still owned his rights.

I guess that was my question. Does the contract end at the allotted time even though he stepped away?

Jiminy Christmas, every losing team in the league can at least always look down at the Browns and say, “At least we’re not them.”  Bad decision after bad decision after bad decision.  There are several posters here who could play GM for them and easily have them in a 10x better spot.  Just ridiculous.

Yes, they should only have his rights this year I think. Someone on Reddit said the Browns also had a team option in 2027 but I assume that isn’t going to factor in.

I guess it works different for players and coaches then. That's interesting and something I would think the NFLPA would take issue with.

It’s largely the same. If a player retires/quits then the team still has his rights through the remainder of his contract.
