I don't think it's been as rough as people think. He's still very young.  I think he's still going to be a really good QB.

I just said this somewhere else, but Brady tore his ACL once too. People forget all about that 2008 Matt Cassel season though.

 

You're underrating and underestimating him. He only just turned 30. He's already a 1st ballot lock for the HoF, but there's plenty of time left for him to further establish himself as an all-time great.

Say what you want about Mahomes but losing the best QB in football for possibly a year isn’t good for the sport or fans.

There was a post on Reddit comparing Mahomes career so far to Brady's at the same point.  It is nearly identical including the injury.

Brady best years were the 10 years he went without a championship.  If you lined up Brady and Mahomes career at this same point then yes Mahomes is better.
