if they had gone after Darnold it would have been a commitment that was going to last more than one year.

The roster still needed a lot of work but they would have more draft capital to speed that process up.

thinking that Darnold was going to come in and make this team a contender right away wouldn't have been a reasonable approach...still needed to be a multi year rebuild.

Why would Darnold want to come to the worst team? He's done that and it nearly cost him his career

Turns out that the Seahawks at least for now seem to be the big winners of the QB carousel last offseason managed to dump Geno Smith and even get some draft capital then signed Darnold who has been pl

lol only this place would be trashing a QB

- That won 14 games last year

- Is 21-5 in his last 26 regular season starts

- Leading his new team to equal best record in the NFC

- 1st in YPA a full yard ahead of any other starting QB

- 3rd in passer rating

- 1st in QBR

- Top 5 MVP contender

Nobody is saying Darnold isnt having a great year though. Most are actually being realistic and concluding it would not be a good pairing because we wouldn't be able to provide Darnold with what he needs to be successful. Hes a ceiling raiser when the floor is high and stable. Its not madden, we don't have what he needs

Who is bashing Darnold's play the last two years?

If you sign Darnold you probably also were going to be more active in FA in regards to skill position players at least on offense.

If I was a cat, I'd probably get more cat.  He comes to a less talented roster, but he'd be expected to win this season.  Behind Moore and Mr False Start.

Who’s trashing him? My comment about him getting mono again and dying was indictment on the titans, not Darnold.

Um, only this place would be seriously advocating for trading away the #1 pick to instead give $100M to a never has been who fucking sucks against good teams in meaningful games.

There's a reason the Vikings let him walk and we saw it today.  4 INT's.  One of the worst games I have ever seen a QB play in my 40+ years watching this game and I'm including college and high school games.

Sam Darnold was so bad today, he made Arch Manning look like Peyton.

lol I'm sure they are thrilled with how things are working out with McCarthy who has turned a 14-3 Darnold led team into one that has already lost double the games they did last year and is likely to miss the playoffs.

Sure Darnold absolutely stunk today but he still has been one of the better QB's in the league over the last season and a half what happened today doesn't change that.

come on man this is a bad take by you. Darnold was bad yesterday for sure but he's been damn near lights out for almost 2 seasons now.
