Deviating from a goal that you just set out for yourself a few days ago is not decisiveness if it's undoing the decision you just made lol. Everyone is saying talent infusion. A good coach would get way more out of this roster and that is why AAS is a mess. She had the coach in placeand decided to hire incompetent people who had better personalities. I still think Levis has the ability to become a stud QB. He looked way better than Cam has to date and I have always believe Cally's dink and dunk BS offense took away the long game from Levis. McCoy is not the guy to unlock this potential either. He is another beta. We need a Gruden or a Flores. As bad as TN has looked the defense has not been bad. If they had a functional offense they'd be decent. I think the scheme of Cally was horrendous. He has missed used Spears, Chig, the young rookie WRs. When he ran out the heavy package in AZ I thought OK now maybe he'll adjust and then in LV he runs 6 WR screens. I know the roster is not top shelf but I really do not believe it is as bare as this board does. I think we have a huge owner and HC deficiency right now. scine09
In no universe did Will Levis look better than Cam Ward. NashvilleNinja, TheChosenTitan, Starkiller, and 1 other 3
Stan
Cam is the best QB we’ve had since Tannehill. Shut the hell up about Levis. Do you not realize Ward is being pressured at a clip higher than any QB in the league? Where his aspected completion percentage is so low that it’s shocking he’s even gotten the ball to any of these guys, that’s the uphill battle he’s faced. Joe Burrow had the same issues his rookie year only difference is he had Aj green, tee higgins, Joe mixon and Tyler Boyd to throw to.

Stan
Cam Ward is going to be a stud. He’s not running a gimmick offense like Mariota did.

The team was lost and directionless, Ward ( massive investment by the org) was regressing, and the team wasn't just not showing growth, they were getting worse. You don't stay the course because no one is coming to save them. You cut bait and try to show some of incremental improvement while developing Ward and a few other young players. The worst thing you can do in business and sports is just roll with the status quo just because. This move had to be made and now. Acting like its indicative of a lack of patience is misplaced. There are many reasons to complain about AAS. This move aint one of them.

Due in part to a simplified offense for Levis to cut down on turnovers. McCoy will elevate to god like status if it happens. of course we do, would be the team's best win moral wise in years. I wonder what the bar is for McCoy to get serious consideration as the guy beyond this season. The schedule is brutal so its unlikely the win column shows anything but what if Ward turns the corner and the team plays hard and is competitive, especially within the division? IMO the bar is guys played hard, the team shows serious improvement on Sundays including, most importaly, Ward, the penalties come down, they look more disciplined and maybe they win a few games. I think it's more about how guys respond to him than anything.

There are many reasons to complain about AAS. This move aint one of them. Growth in football is neither linear nor permanent. It's situational. Save for a serious injury, Cam was not going to be "ruined" by Callahan just like VY was not ruined by Fisher nor Mariota was ruined by Whiz/Mularkey/Vrabel. Put competent players around Cam next year and he'll be just fine. The team is as lost, directionless, and bad as it was under Callahan and that's unlikely to change. Frankly, I don't care that she fired Callahan. He did enough to dig his own grave. My problem is that this franchise has been behaving like it has no idea what to do for years, is showing no signs of changing, and it starts with the owner.
