5: Brady

6: Grizzard

7: Minter

8: Schwartz

What's crazy about Callahan is not just how bad his true record is, he's covered the spread 4 times. Even when the team is given points, often a lot of points, they fail to even meet that expectation.

I think Ward was awful today   But Callahan shouldn't say it, he's fired already

If AAS were smart she'd fire Callahan tonight and take the hit going into the Pats game rather than the much bigger hit when Vrabel destroys Callahan head to head. It won't matter that vrabel wasnt fi

You see who's elevated on the practice squad

You see I don’t care. And if you were relying on Callahan's judgement for the roster like anyone who had entered the season with an open mind about him you shouldn't either at this point.

Sometimes Lyons posts shit that sounds good but doesn't hold up but this is interesting. It could be as simple as when they are in shorter down and distance they are more effective and that they are shotgun so much on 3rd and long it skews EPA. I refuse to go back and watch these games to break down offense like normally do. Fuck that

Been saying it all year. We don't have the tackles to run straight drop backs so often. Our lack of under center PA is striking, especially because we run it with a lot of success.

More than a handful of people in this thread have said coaches dont/wont come here because of the front office.

Must have missed that. I haven't seen anyone say that.

lol what? its you ignoring facts not me because you have a perception the job is tainted. OMG DeCosta didn't want to leave the place his worked his whole career and would be taking over soon. Fuck them Titans!

you usually have better takes than this.

That's not at all what I said. I never said the Titans job was "tainted".

What I said is that there is an effect, and people turn jobs down all the time, and I cited some examples of people turning down the Titans job. Decosta's specific reason is relevant but superficial to the larger point.

@oldschool made a comment I hadn’t really thought of. Bill Callahan is likely a bigger problem than we realize. In other stops, he has been simply an OL coach. But due to his likely power here, he has more say in things like the run game and play calling. Every stop where he has had that power has been a disaster over the years. I’d can the Callahan’s and Holz today.

Baby Callahan likely only got the job due to his ability to bring Daddy Callahan along with him to be the O-line coach. I would think that would breed some indebtedness to the old man.

Front office/amy is what i should have said. Its why i asked for a list of coaches to start with.

You quoted me. What I said was that it's naive to assume it has no effect. Not that there is some blacklist of the organization by elite football people. That's a ludicrous proposition. Having said that, it's also pretty dumb to pretend like there aren't people who have passed on the dysfunction of the Titans organization.

Take out the Titans and substitute the Panthers and it’s the same situation.  Some coaches have basically bypassed  that team because it’s so dysfunctional.

If you have an alternative that you like ,which in some case involves sticking with your current team, you can bypass the questionable opening.

Im sure it has popped into a head or two. But this isnt most jobs. Its one of the smallest job markets in the world and the highest job in said profession. Most people will look past some shakyness.

I think being fans of thw titans is making people over estimate how dysfunctional we have been. Its certainly not good. But all moves made had to be done even if it has led us down a bad path currently.

I can agree with this. The amount of qualified candidates that will turn you down is pretty small.

I don’t think we are as organizationally screwed up as it seems.

It’s just that she totally whiffed on replacing Vrabel and Robinson and hired two awful replacements and now have to replace those guys (already started by hiring Borgonzi)

I do wonder if the strategy of throwing the sink at Cam in camp was a bad idea in hindsight. He might have too much on his plate.

Not only that...the sink has rusty pipes and leaks all over the place. They put a ton on his plate and them put him in a situation where he's having to try to learn it under extreme duress.
