Rock Bottom Rarely Is

I generally believe in a slow trigger. Team has never been as good as when Jeff Fisher was the coach. The team was far better with Mike Vrabel as the HC.

Personally, I like the heck out of Brian Callaghan the human. I like what he did with the offseason. But he is failing miserably in game.  Timid. Poor decision making.

Horrible clock management.   It's just too obvious that he isn't ready for the position that he is in.

There is no argument for Callaghan personally. The argument is for Cam and continuity.  Just ugly. Beyond the challenge of firing him now versus giving him the remainder of the season, the issues are so many and varied.

1. I thought it was a gutless effort by the defense. Not sure that other than Simmons (who was controlled) and Hooker  (who was ok),   that there are any other positions that don't need a dramatic upgrade.  I was prepared to accept no pressure from the edges. But the interior of the line got stonewalled and the entire second half was gashed.  I don't think Denard Wilson has any form of resume suggesting he is better than BC.

2. Calvin Ridley. Man. Leads the league in drops. Absolutely should have made the catch in the endzone for a TD.  Absolutely dropped two other balls. Biggest disappointment on the team.

3. Hard to bitch about an offensive line down two starters, but my GOD, they are bad.

4. We saw more play action. We actually saw the emergence of a short passing game.  Once again we saw some impressive hero ball from Ward.  Nothing leads me to believe that he will be anything less than a quality NFL starter.

5.  Somehow, despite the shit show that was last season, it feels worse than at any time last season.

1. Do we owe Will Levis an apology - maybe it was on Calvin Ridley and on Brian Callaghan?

2. When Brian talks to Amy each week, does he mention that she is beautiful, inspirational, a true leader of men?

3. Would it be unlawful for BC to kill PK, because in truth, PK is doing a helluva job killing BC?

4. Why would you suggest trading Jeff Simmons when he may be one of a handful of players on this team that could start for every team in the league?

5. Is Cam better off with a new coach, a new scheme and a new playcaller or would he better served with continuity to allow him to build from current learnings?

6. Is Tyler Rowland Beaver Cleaver on Meth?

7.  Is our best 3 WR set Ayomanor, Chig and Dike with Helm playing TE?

8. Who stole the Barton/Gray combination we saw in preseason and where are they being hidden?

9.  Is Mike Borgonzi's greatest remorse that he reacquired L'Jarius Sneed once he became our GM?

10. When will Brian Callaghan decide that he wants to go out with his boots on and just play whatever brand of football he truly wants to run?

I have said Levis was blammed for way too much.  I think he made the ideal choice with Callahan coming back.  AAS has to fire Callahan ASAP and begin a huge fire sale.  I would trade Pollard, Hooker, Simmons, Snead, and Ridley right now.  If I could dump the new LT I would do this too.  I would guarrantee myself the top three pick and I would start anew.  I would fire Brinker with Callahan and tell Borganzi you have a clean slate.  I would not trade Levis until the new staff says he sucks.

It is worse. We have a better QB this year and we still suck.
