I don't condone violence as the ways and means to bring about change but this society and the world we live in has gotten extremely violent. At this point it's entirely possible the shooter didn't appreciate Kirk still siding with wanting the Epstein files released and felt he had to act. It's too soon to use media with millions of eyes on it to call for war and labelling millions of others opposite to you politically as evil. Obviously this is part of the problem in the first place. Political violence is extremely asymmetrical in that all it takes is a single person to commit something like this. It isn't a war of ideologies, it's individuals taking it too far. People need to stop compounding these individuals with the masses, and they need to stop pretending they want discourse and debate but at the same time try and assign blame because that is an attempt to remove those things. They don’t wanna offend so they are not going to call out what he is or the awful things he said on a regular basis. Matthew Dowd (worked for GW Bush) got fired on MSNBC for basically saying hateful things lead to hateful actions yesterday.
