There was a story in the Athletic during the preseason which detailed the length that Bucs GM Jason Licht now goes to filter out character issue guys (both football and off field related). This process was implemented after they whiffed on Devin White with a high pick. After they set their tape graded draft board they spend something like 9 straight days just debating the character concern guys and as an example 4 guys in the 2025 draft that went in the first round were completely off the Bucs draft board.
