The Jags spent a shit ton to get him and they are a brand new outfit with likely at least 2 seasons of grace to do their work, he will be given every opportunity to succeed and I think probably given a lot of designed looks on offense to help justify the expense.

His WR route tree and metrics etc from what I recall were fairly elite, so I think he'll be okay, but the 2 way thing is of course a big question mark. He'd be stupid not to try and develop as a WR first though, CB shelf life as a top paid player is almost as bad as RBs.

I hope the media devotes half the 2026 draft coverage to admitting how stupid they were drooling over this awful trade for this overrated player.    LOL @ the tards who raved about his WR sk

I'm just interested in seeing how he does as an NFL WR. The Jags traded the farm for him, picked him #2 overall. Before the Jags worry about having a two way player they better hope he's a quality WR.

Talking of Lawrence, I saw this a while ago.  Amazing how perceptions are so different on these 2.

Well, for one, he got torched. For 2, he played against weakass competition. Fro 3, he didn't win a goddamn thing. For 4, Heisman is a popularity contest.  For 5, his numbers as a receiver didn't make him #1 even with the weaker schedule.

The reality is that he's a 180 receiver who didn't run at the combine. Imo he projects as a slot, 3rd down only special teams returner. But I guess we'll see soon.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. Hunter’s stats as a receiver were great. I’m not even addressing the other issues because it’s obvious you (again) have no idea what you’re talking about.

I bet he never has 1000 yards in the NFL

It doesn’t really matter. You short-selling his accomplishments and misrepresenting his ability is on-character for you.

How do you feel about the receivers from last year’s draft?

Obviously one of the best receiver drafts in a while. What does that have to do with Hunter? Me suggesting Hunter will be a bust is not some award-winning journalism. There's a lot of skepticism

On the surface this seems like a reach but if he does end up playing both ways and you have BTJ taking 120-150 targets a year it could be more possible than at first glance.

I wouldnt go that far still but its not outlandish either.

It's especially easy to get there if you modify it "as a Jag." TLaw sucks balls. Best way to manage a QB like that is reduce throws and beef up the run. Make the passes higher percentage rhythm off PA. Hunter had 96 completions to get to 1200 yards in 2024. 1/3 of those were curl routes. LOL good luck!!

I was just stacking him against a very good WR class since you said he was fool’s gold in college.

Just an overall terrible assessment of the player. If you really feel that way back it up with tape.
