I don't see Borgonzi sitting and picking either Jaylin Noel or Kyle Williams at pick #35 but should he find a trade partner that allows him to slide back into the 45-55 range I believe both players would be firmly in the Titans sights.

 

Agreed. I also think there's always a bit of an over correction on the part of fans and draft guys--the rise can be too meteoric. Sometimes it does hold true, but I definitely think a trade down and getting Williams is a real possibility for us and I don't see him making a crazy lead into the first round or anything.

They would also plan to plays these guys at 5tech. We talked last year about them possibly wanting bigger 2gap guys for the front sgd is over 300 pounds holding ths pot down currently.

I had that thought as well until you think about what Norman-Lott is good at and that’s as a penetrator. It makes sense size wise though

Maybe they think he can replace Simmons down the road (maybe not too far down the road), like Simmons did Casey. But they could also give him (or a similar 3 tech) plenty of snaps on passing downs with Simmons in place of Sweat.

If sweat doesnt produce on passing downs that makes that pick over the trade back even worse. The kids surpassed all my expectations as a rookie but unless he can get after the qb its going to go down as a fuckup.

Well he’s clearly better on run downs than passing downs. So even if he’s still good enough to play on passing downs they still need to rotate him, so why not do it more on passing downs and bring in a more natural pass rusher?
