Patriots hiring Vrabel

I remember last year when Wesley Woodyard went on the radio after the firing and detailed some of what went on during the AFC Championship run.

I am paraphrasing a bit, but after shutting down Lamar Jackson a week before, Vrabel basically came in and hijacked the defensive game plan for KC from Dean Pees. A top level DC with tons of experience and knowledge was overruled by his HC who thought he knew better.

He also said they were going to completely change the culture... As if this team isn't just over a year removed from being run by the GOAT in BB. The arrogance is astounding but not surprising in the least.

Good point. And while I’m not a Robert Kraft fanboy, he and his son have run a top notch organization.

Vrabel casting himself as Jesus is certainly an interesting angle

What has he actually done to be worthy of all this power? He hasn’t even coached in one Super Bowl

The more time goes on it’s obvious that they won in spite of him.

Mike Vrabel: Goal is to win the AFC East, host home playoff games, and compete for championships. “We want to be good enough to take advantage of bad football,” he says.

At least he's not putting the bar at winning multiple playoff games a year like he did walking in the door at Tennessee.

Actually Belichick and Brady were why they were seen as a top notch organization.  Kraft to me certainly had some Jerry Jones envy.....and when he asserted more power after Brady left we all saw what happened.

Kraft also isn't getting enough heat for the sham Rooney Rule stuff here.

The #Giants are allowing executive advisor to the GM Ryan Cowden out of his current deal and he is expected to join the #Patriots’ front office under Eliot Wolf, sources tell me and

@RapSheet

. Nothing finalized but the former #Titans exec will soon reunite with Mike Vrabel.
