Can we stop with the Simmons liked a Vrabel post so he's a traitor who should be traded  nonsense now?

I didn't think he was a traitor. I just picked up on the draft pick talk. If the Patriots did offer the 4th your ears would have to perk up, right?

Shit, if only I could be alpha like Righteous.

Vrabel magically turned into a good coach the week Tannehill stepped in as the starter. The team was 2-4 before that. Vrabel had a losing record before that.    Anyone that watched camp and

Uh, the Titans were 6-18 in Vrabel's last 24 games   The decline started before Callahan got here

Eh. Someone you previously worked with professionally for a year or two is just a connection. It's not like he's hiring high school buddies after hiring Dad.

Yeah that criticism goes out the window for people supporting Callahan.

Giants senior advisor Ryan Cowden has accepted a job with the Patriots, per sources. Cowden will have a big role in the New England front office, and be reunited with Mike Vrabel.

Title will be along the lines of VP of player personnel. He'll be de facto No. 2 to Eliot Wolf.

It's accurate to say he hired his daddy, but screams of ineptitude to leave out that his daddy was arguably the best OL coach available.

I listened to it. That was a weak ass assertion. "I know a guy that knows the krafts that believes vrabel meeting with the Jets may have had something to do with firing mayo if they were teetering on the decision..." Come on man. Like I said that clause to make mayo the coach in waiting did not preclude them from going after Vrabel last year. All they would have had to do is buyout mayo's contract at the time. It allowed them to bypass the hiring process if they so chose and that's what they did.

Your characterization is unserious at best and purposely misleading at best. These are reporters that are plugged in to the team putting their name behind the reporting that people close to ownership believe that Vrabel being available likely affected things. You have no problem accepting this kind of reporting when it confirms what you already think. Btw, PK just said pretty much the same thing that I've been saying. You dig yourself in against stuff like this way too strongly. And stop with the clause straw-man; at no point did I say the clause was binding.

Listen to it again... he literally said I know a guy who knows the krafts who believes.... it's right there. Again I'm not going to argue as we've seen firsthand the amount of morons covering the Titans who can't get shit straight. It's a fact the ascension clause was not binding in any way and it didn't prevent the krafts from hiring vrabel last year.

The clause does not need to be binding to make the organization look horrible via Kraft showing that his word means nothing. Mayo is not just some guy. He's someone that  played for a decade there, was raised in that organization as a coach, groomed for the job, and likely passed on promotions from other organizations based on Kraft's word. Your hands don't actually have to be physically tied up for you to feel that your hands are tied. You understand all of this perfectly well, you've just completely dug in and nothing short of Kraft himself saying it will do. Literally no one that actually works in or follows this market agrees with you on this.
