Popular Post Jamalisms
In the business world, you can accept gifts below a certain amount because it would be unreasonable to think such a low amount could influence you. It doesn't take much to cross that dollar threshold into the obvious bribery territory. Yes, dollar amount matters. No, the guy literally doing away with anti-bribery laws and who grifts at every opportunity, is not expected to exhibit any reservations about being bribed. No, the cult weirdos don't think it's anything but rampant bribery - they just don't care. Yes, people with only an ounce of intellect or integrity do care about it. Popular Post nine
Trump’s first term was the most brazen, shameless, and deliberate flaunting of the emoluments clause of any President in American history. Two separate lawsuits were filed demanding that Trump divest himself of his roles in personal and family business interests while in office, as required by the Constitution. The courts repeatedly ruled against Trump…but Trump’s lawyers kept the cases tied up in appeals until he was no longer in office and no longer subject to the emoluments clause. Trump flatly refused to divest himself of his roles in the family business and financial interests despite being required to do so by law. “Fuck the Constitution…and you can’t do shit about it.” The American judicial system was neither intended nor designed to move quickly: laws and legal proceedings move very slowly and deliberately by design, with cases and lawsuits often dragging out for years before a resolution or final ruling. Trump has made a career of flaunting and exploiting the intrinsically slow, deliberate nature of law. Again: “Fuck the law…you can’t do shit about it.” Trump systematically fabricates imaginary loopholes and excuses why the laws of our country don’t apply to him….then has his lawyers drag everything out through the various courts and systems of appeals until it’s either no longer applicable or irrelevant. And of course, he’s got the money to keep cases tied up in appeals indefinitely….so he faces little or no risk of repercussions or ever being held accountable. No1TitansFan
You should read up on some of the appeals he made against legitimate appraisals of properties he owned, particulary in smaller towns. He would exhaust all the normal appraisal appeals and then after he lost go to court and try to fight it there, appealing every time they ruled against hom. Eventually a lot of them realized the amount of time and money being spent litigating was using up limtied resources and settle for less.
ctm
Remember right after the November election when the stock market was going up and Trump was taking credit? Now that he's in office, and the market is going down it's Joe Biden fault. Are we still celebrating? OILERMAN, MadMax, and IsntLifeFunny 2

ctm
Republican lawmakers are growing alarmed over signs that President Trump’s expanding trade war is hurting the economy, something they’re hearing from constituents at home who are struggling to adapt to Trump’s zigzagging tariff pronouncements. “The Canadian tariffs will definitely have a detrimental impact on the economy of Maine and on border communities in particular,” Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said. “We have, for example, a major paper mill in northern Maine right on the border that gets its pulp from Canada.” Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said he’s hearing a deluge of complaints from business leaders in Kentucky about the potential impact of Trump’s trade policies on the local economy. “I have every major industry in Kentucky lobbying me against them: the cargo shippers, the farmers, the bourbon manufacturers, the homebuilders, the home sellers — you name it — fence manufacturers,” Paul told The Hill. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/5183649-trump-trade-war-economic-impact/ Looks like TDS is spreading to republicans IsntLifeFunny, pat, OILERMAN, and 1 other 2 1
