I think it’s fairly obvious neither QB are top of the draft quality in a better year, but they will be overdrafted which is fair enough

Personally, I hope they go for a veteran rather than trying to develop a young QB in an awful situation

Which vet?

And I agree the situation as it stands now for any QB, especially a rookie, is awful.  They still need 2 Ol and 2 WRs as it stands today.  If they don't prioritize offense then they are just asking for a rookie QB to bust.  But it's Jan and a lot will change prior to April.

A QB development plan for a rookie is essential.

something we might actually win!

If you love Sanders or Ward, take them. If not, trade down to 2 or 3 and still get Carter or Hunter.

If they go into the draft with a top 3 pick...needing a QB...and don't take one...and one of the QBs they pass on turns into a stud, Amy is going to skin everyone in the building alive. Taking a swing

God, I can't wait to read the same arguments over and over again for the next 4 months.

@reo who is this year's Brock Bowers? I'm already bored before we know the pick.

Titans win on Sunday you won't have to worry about it they likely won't be in a position to draft one of the top two QB's.

I would almost gurantee Sebastian Joseph-day and NWI get resigned as well as diggs would be suprising if they didnt. Dillion also seems like a cheap signing who showed some promising stuff this year even though he will never be great.

Yes you still need two wr in the scenario, and rt is a gaint whole. But we have already seen the passing game can work with what we have if they just had anyone who could get the damn ball to them.

Its no ideal and I would certainly like to add 1 more but its not as tragic as it may apear on paper.

Sadly our 3 biggest needs are the 3 most important(ish) qb, edge, tackle.

We could obviously upgrade all over the place but as much as I would love an elite wr I think wr is 4th on our immediate needs list.

They should attempt to keep the first two but don't see them trying to bring Diggs back given his age and the major foot surgery, that is not the combo this team needs to be rolling the dice on.

How deep is the rookie S class?  Can they get a FS starter in the 4th?

I know there is 5 or 6 legit guys, idk how deep they are expected to drop

On another cheap deal I think its worth the risk. At worst its a small sunk cost. He balled before he got hurt. Its a stopgap not some long term plan.

Agree on Day and NWI.  If there is one spot I might try and upgrade it's RG.

Nah, then we'll just debate whether Banks is only a RG or can make the transition to RT or if the current staff will trade back for a kicker because they need immediate impact to save their jobs.

I wouldnt bet on radunz either. Like I said to aussi about diggs. It should be a cheap stop gap incase we cant find better or incase we have to spend the money elsewhere.

We atleast know these guys can play, radunz at a respectable if not good level and diggs at a good level but with injury concerns.

We still have to many holes to fill in one offseason. Having to accept some compromise is to be expected.

Im not saying dont draft a guard/safety in the 4ty or 5th, or bring in fa competition. I just think tossing 2-3mil at those guys is a worth it risk as a baseline backup plan if nothing else.

Bill Callahan clearly values size and that could be problematic for Radunz' future with the team.

That is very true. They did everything could to not play him before the season. But hell, skronski put on 20 pounds and looks like a beast. Radunz could as well(not look like a beast but win the coaches respect for chunky boys)

Too bad Caleb Downs from Ohio State is only a sophomore. He smothered the Oregon offense last night.
