I didn’t understand either why Boyd hasn’t been more involved. The calls kept going Ridley’s way he dropped everything. Boyd is sure handed, and got I think two targets both of which he caught. Boyd can get us easy completions via WR screens, little digs/out routes. He is a safety blanket that Cally refuses to utilize. Even though the Bengals did just that for 5+ years with him. Boyd is the one I cannot understand, just don’t get it

The WR rotation has been garbage.

I’m sure Hopkins is being load managed because of the injury, but there’s really no reason Burks should be in on nearly 50% of the snaps this year. He sucks. NWI has played 65 snaps and has 2 targets. Ridley and Boyd are just out there doing cardio.

Pretty dissatisfied with the offense as whole, Levis notwithstanding.

1. I like AAS, but she may have to do some real self evaluation. Did she make hires strictly to be involved in football decisions or with the best football people in mind?   2. Levis is not

Vrabel absolutely should have been fired and they should have let Henry walk, regardless of what he's doing with the Ravens.   The majority of the team's problems are on the QB

do you ever dream of how good we used to have it ?

Yup 100%. NWI & Boyd need snaps/targets. TE too extremely underutilized. There are easy throws to be had to Boyd, the TEs and even a sprinkle of NWI. But it isn’t being called. The TEs group is really deep as well, where are they?

Everything goes to Ridley or Dhop, making it predictable. And Will is not reading the entire field forsure but on the flip side Cally is not setting the offense up to succeed regardless of QB.

We could have kept NWI/DHOP and not sign a single WR if the plan was to never use the ones we sign. It’s a real headscratcher. Cally is losing the fans and the lockerroom very quickly. This is going to get really ugly IMO. Wisenhunt Part 2.

I was a fan of Vrabel.  I was also excited to see Callahan take over the team.

He is used to coaching a guy like Burrow.  I don't think he has wrapped his head around the fact that Levis won't process things like Burrow did.  I think the other thing is that Burrow was like another coach in the locker room and in the QB room.  So, even the backup QB's there looked better.

It will be interesting to see what happens going forward.  It is still early in the season, and there is hope that Levis and Callahan can get on the same page.  It probably isn't a playoff year, but if they can get in sync the second half of the season, they can get some momentum going into next year.

I’ll be honest. I don’t know why we kept 5 TEs. When you look at Cincy’s offense, the TE was never a focus. I thought maybe that was a product of Chase, Higgins, and Boyd, but it seems to have carried over here too.

yeah I don't get the 5 TE thing. At first I assumed the team would run more 12 than expected but that hasn't been the case.

Yep, I think we did because those guys are really talented as a group but if you don’t use them. Why keep ‘em all?

He is drowning and that’s coming from someone who approved of the hire initially. Even going back to the last score yesterday it was all luck. Cally’s chickenshit playcall was a run on 3rd and 17, which luckily led to a TD because the Colts are one of the worst defenses (check for yourself stat wise) in the NFL.

Vs most other teams the Titans score a max of 6-10 points yesterday due to Cally chickenshit playcalling. People keep saying well he won’t because because Will is QB. Cally passed three times in the second half vs the Dolphins. He is just a chickenshit, point blank. I’ve never in my life seen a coach be such a pussy. Legit there is no exaggeration in what I am saying.

I know QBR is problematic, but just for comparison Levis's QBR is 28.3 which is really awful. Only Deshaun Watson's is worse this year.

Here are our other draftees and their first qualifying seasons. Levis is by far the worst, and even bad compared to some other notable bad QB seasons.

2024

Will Levis - 28.3

Deshaun Watson - 21.5

2023

Mac Jones - 37.5

Bryce Young 34.1

Zach Wilson - 31.3

2018

Josh Rosen - 24.1

2017

DeShone Kizer - 32.4 (Might be the best Levis comp tbh)

2015

Marcus Mariota - 48.4

2012

Jake Locker - 40.0

2011

Christian Ponder - 32.4

Blaine Gabbert - 22.2

2006

Vince Young - 56.1

DeShone Kizer...good call amigo. That's exactly who he reminds me of. At least Kizer was actually mobile.

I was wrong! Replace pollard by Henry and Callahan by Vrabel and we will be at least 3-2

You're not even replacing the right guy.

We saw Vrabel with Mariota and Levis, he lost

Ran Carthon hopefully is getting humbled this year and is just going to put his head down and work. I said it before, I'll say it now-- his bloviating and parading about making big news in the offseason was a bit cringe.

I did like the Sneed move-- we needed a top CB and he was one. Everything else i think he was oversold the value we were getting and definitely overpaid. Furthermore, to this day I don't quite have an idea of what he and his team are trying to do. We do not even have the infancy of an identity.
